Our detailed survey of the flat reveals a host of places Maddie’s abductor could have hidden when it’s most likely he was almost caught in the act by dad Gerry as he checked on her and twins, Sean and Amelie, at 9.05pm on May 3 last year…

If one year on, the News of the World found clues, surely the detectives could have established more AT THE TIME?

The stillness and silence of the apartment now is just as it would have been after the McCanns left the children asleep in bed that fateful night.

The media phenomenon of the Bad Parent story, ritually trotted out to appease the secret guilt of other parents everywhere, is a curious one, no doubt about that. It can’t be much fun to be caught in the middle of the latest outbreak of media moralising, but it’s best just to put it down to experience and move on as quickly as you can.

Well, when it comes to frozen prawns and cocaine there certainly has been some progress, but none of it is in the direction of finding out what happened to Madeleine.
And now the doors of the libel courts have swung so invitingly open, Plan A and Plan B are both gonners, which really doesn’t leave much…

I really think there’s little to add about the case just now, though. NOTW is old news, although interesting enough to see the pics.

You know what they say, “give them enough rope and they will hang themselves”.
The McCanns and their PR team have been guilty of gross interference, bleating
“we should know what the PJ know so we can tell Metodo 3 is insolent bearing in mind
there is not meant to be a secondary investigation anyway. It seems August is the last
month for the investigation to be completed, so I just hope the PJ can conclude by then.

I have holidayed a few times in the Algarve and I feel for that community.
For the negligence of a group of tourists their whole enviroment has been turned upside down.

It certainly appears that our press has done its best to mess up the lives of a lot of people without any conceivable justification.
And the whole xenophobia thing is probably the outstanding point of the press coverage, from newspapers which, at least in theory, are not staffed by a bunch of bigots with a burning desire to organise a lynch mob.
And speaking of a bunch of bigots, I gather the Sunday Express has an article puporting to show that Scotland Yard are keen to give the Portuguese police a helping hand.
Presumably the Express’s concern for the harried taxpayer doesn’t extend to actually asking whether, in the improbable event of Scotland Yard actually wanted to get embroiled, british taxpayers should be footing the bill for them…

The apartment was owned by a Mrs McCann, a Widow, not related to Gerry and has
apparently been sold. The photo in NOTW is as it is now, newly furnished and
decorated.
With all due respect, I think the people of PDL should be allowed a bit of peace now
and I just hope there will not be a second Anniversary rememberance there.

This case will probably go down in History as one of the unsolved crimes. I”m quite sure someone knows something and not at all convinced of abduction.
It is so sad that a young girl like Madeleine lived such a short time and it would be nice to see Justice for her.

What is to become of the apartment Madeleine was whoosh clunked from?
Will it be a shrine to all whoosh clinked chidren?
Will it be bulldozed, as is the trend of late with any address that has sinister conotations?
If it is bulldozed the other apartments will have to be too, who will foot the bill?
Will the press commision the rental of the apartment for the next decade to be there to contribute to every anniverary of the dissapearance of Madeleine in the exact place she dissapeared from?
Will the Mcs ever return?
Will J T ever tell the exact truth and nothing but the truth?
Will the twins ever have a normal life as they grow older?
Will Kate and Gerry ever truly repent, in public?
Will Kate and Gerry ever be brought to justice for their wrong doings as far as childcare and endangerment are concerned?
Will the rest of the Tapas ever be brought to justice for their wrong doings as far as childcare and endangerment are concerned?
