It was framed and then hung in Anorak’s gallery alongside P.Sorene’s ‘!’

Titled ‘Brevity’.

And may I say to those carping critics, who failed to understand the full significance of the thong positioned directly above it, that Sorene, in this one bold stroke, brought the soul of Dorothy Parker afresh into the 21st century.

As she was wont to remark, you can lead a horticulture but you can’t make her think…

The Creases and Wrinkled display at the Institute, whereby your polycottons feature only less so than your cottons (white cottons boil wash) which were accompanied by one red sock.

I also have a nice line in ‘Orange’ and ‘Peel’ and find ‘Merlot’ a good amnesiatic (hey thats a good word!)

The permatan burn mark from an iron though moved me to tears. It just so became the thermal vest and made it breathe and move.

The three line haiku was almost certainly the source of June Johnson’s creative genius; she took the three lines and stripped them to three words.

But whilst modern art has titans in the field, there will always be those who seek to hang onto the coat-tails of those more gifted than themselves.

Thus the three word masterpiece of June Johnson was followed in later years by a series of derivative pieces from lesser artists; so much so that JuneJohnson herself has almost entirely abandoned the form.

A particularly sad example was ‘Pseuds and Corner’; it is rumoured that the artist, formerly known as Gloria Smudd, received a mere £10,000,000 for it…

‘Link not working’ is one of June Johnson’s most powerful pieces, pointing, as it does, to the alienation caused by the continuing erosion of complex and nuanced human values developed over the millennia when confronted by the stark alternatives of binary code.

A true master of her art, JuneJohnson manages to convey all this in three simple words:
