Madeleine McCann: Blaming Richard Desmond And How To Prevent Another Maddie
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE GUARDIAN: “Why the Sunday Express is so unpopular”
ROY GREENSLADE:
I note that the Sunday Express took another sales nose dive last month to record an average weekly sale of just 673,840. Could the continuing circulation slide have anything to do with the readers’ dislike of its scandalous Madeleine McCann coverage? Possibly.
Or has it more to do with the whimsical, but pointless, columns by the paper’s editor, Martin Townsend ? Also possible.
But I believe it has more to do with the growing distaste for its owner, Richard Desmond. In true Maxwellian form a sweaty picture of Dirty Des appeared in this week’s issue (arm around Lulu, poor her) at a charity function arranged by, of course, Desmond himself. Expect another sales drop this month.
OK!, which routinely features its owner Desmond, is the top selling showbiz magazine. Go figure…

“Under the guise of helpfully pointing out than an abductor would have had a whole 10 seconds to hide him/herself, it makes it clear that this is not a realistic proposition”.
———–
Chenier, I got the same feeling about some newspapers who don’t buy the story completely, and innocently drop a few remarks here and there, without appearing to doubt the MC’s version.
Anyway, I am surprised the witnesses are able to give such precise timings when they weren’t even wearing watches maybe (which by itself is surprising if they meant to visit their children every 30 mns). It is so easy to forget the time when you are sitting, eating, drinking and talking, at a dinner table. I think we are being kept wondering about the “windows of opportunity”, the comings and goings of the party, as if the utmost accuracy was the answer to the question about a possible kidnapping. Supposing they left the children much longer than they said, it doesn’t prove at all that the child was abducted if there is no trace of an abductor whatsoever.

I am still wondering about the perfunctory check made by Dr. O, when he didn’t open the door enough to see the 3 children. Not hearing them was in his mind a sign that everything was OK I suppose.”
This is something that can easily be verified in a reconstruction. (But you don’t have to go to Portugal for it.) It’s not that he didn’t open the door enough, but that he didn’t enter the room, just opened the door to a degree that he could see the twins. Also, if he didn’t switch the light on in the bedroom, the twins beds would have been in the shine of the hall light, while the head part of Madeleine’s bed wouldn’t have.

Chenier-how would the intruder know the doors were open-he /she probably didn’t check-just assumed a ‘responsible’ parent would lock the doors….even if they had left the kids alone-praps he didn’t evenn try the doors.

I just think the police ask the poeple to replay the scene. If there are inconsistencies, the witnesses will be struck by them, and will have to find explanations, or admit that their statements aren’t fully reliable. I am sure re-constructions are very useful, and make people think about their statements, as well as helping with the investigation. Also, they give weight to the police’s report.

So you want to say the window was not open? Maybe. I have occasionally fallen for trying to explain “facts” which then turned out to be fiction. If the window was open, there will have been someone who opened it, and (s)he might have had a reason for it.

I don’t ‘want’ to say anything.
I was commenting on the News of the World article, which says:
‘And our photograph of the room, above right, shows the scene that confronted mum Kate when she arrived at 10pm—her three-year-old daughter Madeleine gone and the rolldown window shutter OPEN.
Tellingly, she had found the bedroom door now closed, blown shut by the draught from the open window looking out on to the road below. ‘

Maybe it’s useful to do a reconstruction to have an approved version of the events archived, in case a possible perpetrator will be found after years.

While listening I went to joanas site and here we are
“About the Cipriano case, and for those who defend neglectful parents: Why you defend child killers and paedophiles like Leonor and João Cipriano as well ? Did you know that Joana’s blood was found inside the freezer of the Cipriano’s house, in a T-Sirt, in another Shirt, in the sofa? Did you Know that it was confirmed by Laboratory analyses that some of Joana’s clothes (like her knickers) had traces of sperm and blood, that her bed had traces of sperm. That Leonor and João Cipriano were brothers and had sex with each other. That João Cipriano explained step by step how he carved Joana’s body and how they gave her body parts to the pigs (who eat everything). Did you Know? Or are you defending something which cannot be defended. Where is your moral, do you have ANY left? Can you imagine the SUFFERING OF A LITTLE BEING RAPE AND SODOMIZED?
DO the mccanns really want to find similarities with that horible horrible case or with i the horror story in austria and in spain with Mari Luz?
Are they really really crazy?
They profundly disgust me.As much as anybody who actually does it.The only thought makes my heart sink

Oddly enough the ‘Maddie World Exclusive’ yesterday in the News of the World has really highlighted the problems with the claims made so far about a stranger abduction.
Under the guise of helpfully pointing out than an abductor would have had a whole 10 seconds to hide him/herself, it makes it clear that this is not a realistic proposition.
A re-construction would highlight the gaping holes in the story…

Hi Jo, Hi Nemesis !
If their are inconsistencies, how are the persons involved in the reconstruction going to react to them? It is one thing to be told there are inconsistencies, and one thing to realise things can’t happen the way they are described. If they all still stick to their first statement, it is going to be awkward, and strange, and it will mean the statements aren’t reliable. If they change their statements, it is going to be difficult too, especially for their lawyers.

He is doing very well, indeed.May be I should marry him?
Murats style has been a very discreet, patient and silent. He is probably acting in the same way with his court case against the media
I was wondering if he will sue the mccanns AS WELL
I will go and fish for some info on the subject.I have read something but dunno if I kept it.
News will come soon, after Ms birthday because it is just the mccHtlers wanted: be out of the focus. They will be right on first stage everywhere soon
Meanwhile, lets be happy with some more few spins
I never read anywhere, exactely WHY the mccanns lawyers advised them NOT to go back to portugal.
Any idea?

Hello you all who are still posting!
I just stopped to read the posts. IMO, a reconstruction will not be useful to find the missing child, but will be useful to understand what happened, by pinpointing the inconsistancies, which will prompt the people doing it into changing the way they remember what happened.
************
Hi Marie
It would certainly “refresh” some people”s memory and leave their lies in the open.
I also believe PJ is beyond, not only smears, but also neglect and surely abduction. The mccanns know it.This is why they refuse to go back to portugal. The rest is irrelevant at these hights. It would be interesting to know if the PJ can summon them up to go back, after all, they are still arguidos within their rights AND duties. If I remember well, they cant oppose to anything the PJ has to do within the investigation.
I am 103% sure their lawyers are having a few “white nights” working their wits out to prevent their return
