Madeleine McCann: Blaming Richard Desmond And How To Prevent Another Maddie
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE GUARDIAN: “Why the Sunday Express is so unpopular”
ROY GREENSLADE:
I note that the Sunday Express took another sales nose dive last month to record an average weekly sale of just 673,840. Could the continuing circulation slide have anything to do with the readers’ dislike of its scandalous Madeleine McCann coverage? Possibly.
Or has it more to do with the whimsical, but pointless, columns by the paper’s editor, Martin Townsend ? Also possible.
But I believe it has more to do with the growing distaste for its owner, Richard Desmond. In true Maxwellian form a sweaty picture of Dirty Des appeared in this week’s issue (arm around Lulu, poor her) at a charity function arranged by, of course, Desmond himself. Expect another sales drop this month.
OK!, which routinely features its owner Desmond, is the top selling showbiz magazine. Go figure…
METRO: “McCanns hold ‘low-key Maddie birthday party’”
Mr McCann, a consultant cardiologist at Leicester’s Glenfield Hospital, has a number of clinical appointments but he and his wife were due to be together at home for some part of the day.
Such are the facts.
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “7 ways to keep your kids safe on holiday - It’s easy for parents to become too relaxed about their children while abroad, so Shane Dunphy suggests some general rules”
Summer’s here — at last. And all we can think about are holidays in the sun. But no parent can take their children abroad now without thinking of tragic Madeleine McCann.
Tips to avoid another Madeleine McCann include:

184 Yes we are fortunate not to have extremes of nature. Pity about the politicians ,especially the one with the defunct moral compass and his alleged connections with the McCs.. Odd upside down morality

-and if it is not an inclusive package holiday why do they think it necessary to man the gate-they’re not going to turn down people willing to part with good cash-and I’m sure they are not too concerned that outsiders may use the swings or the sand-pit.

Yes,it is what happens in working class families when the children are successful,THANKS,to their parents, they are suddenly embarrassed of their origins as if it was a sin.It shows which kind of people they have become. The kind who believes, support and share a deadly ideology, who do not hesitate in selling their child to the media…making cash out of her death

180 Jo Did you know that it is being speculated that they were seen in Sagres with a buggy and the alleged witness thought that the child looked too big to be in a buggy ! Strange!

I was watching a Documentary last night and there is much beauty in the Provinces.
One thing about the Chinese reaction is an immediate response to help , whereas the Burmese have let 1 US Plane land with water and tents !!!!!!
It really is heartbreaking to see the devastation, we are lucky not to have these extremes .

” If it was just a gate how would MW prevent any old Matt, Russ, Dave or Gerry using the MW facilities freely. It’s a commercial concern after all not a community freebie - and the appartments were outside the MW complex as far as I know. I think you know too but ask Carmen if s/he comes in. It is after all not a matter of secrecy. ”
Maybe there’s some staff during daylight hours, but in the evening and especially off-season it probably doesn’t pay to employ a nighttime warden at the tapas gate.

Don’t tell me Clearance is the source of your quote
I have to go but think about it. What you are saying doesn’t make good commercial sense although it would be very nice for the citizens of PDL to come and go as they please in these expensive MW facilities.
Give me a MW source and I’ll believe you. Have to go now -dishes to wash etc

Have a look at the map of the area at the mccannfiles.
QUOTE
What is commonly referred to as the ‘Tapas Reception’ is marked as the ‘Pool Entrance’ on this map. This area was, apparently, neither staffed nor covered by CCTV on the grounds, presumably, that it was not really a reception area but simply an entrance to the Ocean Club facilities.

I heard that too, and it seems plausible, as it simplified the checking on the children ; but children together have a lot of fun and don’t sleep. The beds wouldn’t have been found almost not undone. Anyway, it is crazy to let such young children on their own, and if they really left the door unlocked, they must be quite mad. Carmen told us that it is a croweded place, with plenty of people staying there for a few days, whom nobody knows, and a camping site not far. To say that it felt safe, sounds lame to me. I find it almost impossible to believe the door was left unlocked, in a crowded unfamiliar place like a small but international holiday resort.
Do you know where the information that the children all slept in the same bedroom comes from?

I don’t think it was the 24h-reception they had to pass. It was just a gate.

157-I should think they are all down the gym proving just how much distance can be covered in an hour, whilst eating god knows what, drinking God only knows, doing a quiz, changing sheets, stopping for a chat…they must all have had chronic indigestion…..is there a doctor in the house…..?

” I think we are being kept wondering about the “windows of opportunity”, the comings and goings of the party, as if the utmost accuracy was the answer to the question about a possible kidnapping. ”
Which is of course not the case. That’s why a reconstruction might be of little value. However, if you consider that staff might be involved - could well be interesting.

‘A reconstruction would probably show that the waiters were not standing by the table all the time, so there would be plenty of time to leave the table “unnoticed”.

Unlikely since the only route out of the Tapas Bar to the apartments is (according to Carmen’s checks) through the reception of the Ocean Club, and the receptionists would be paying close attention to comings and goings because Ocean Club facilities have to be paid for/ or membership cards flashed. Presumably anyone leaving the Tapas bar would need to inform the receptionists that they would be returning in order not to be charged each time.

A reconstruction will leave them and their lies, in the open. Why do you think they do not want to go back?Scared of being charged for neglect? Abduction,NONE.Why have their lawyers “warned them” not to go back? What is left,do you think?
They will be exposed like raw meat
