Madeleine McCann: Scotsman Apologises To Robert Murat

ROBERT Murat is involved in legal action against 11 British newspapers and Sky New.
THE Scotsman has apologised to Robert Murat and admitted publishing defamatory allegations about him.
Says the paper:
“On 15 May an article about Robert Murat headed ‘Madeleine: He jokes of being ‘No.1 suspect’’ was published in which we reported a number of defamatory allegations about Mr Murat in connection with the abduction of Madeleine McCann.
“The article wrongly accused him of ‘hanging around’ the scene in a manner which recalled the Soham murders.
“Likening his behaviour in this way to that of Soham murderer, Ian Huntley, suggested that he was involved in the abduction of Madeleine McCann. It was a seriously defamatory allegation and wholly untrue.”
The apology continued: “We also wrongly implied that he had been unfeeling and insensitive about Madeleine McCann’s disappearance and had lied about his role in the police investigation. That was not our intention.
“We accept that Mr Murat was assisting the police investigation into Madeleine McCann’s disappearance and that his behaviour was entirely proper throughout, and we are happy to make that clear.
“We apologise to Mr Murat for the hurt, distress and damage to his reputation caused by the article.”
No damages have been paid to Murat. Not yet…

it’s almost like the mcconns read the story and based their scam on it
leave door unlocked

immediate search of the area
no evidence of “abductor”
two other children left alone
publicity stunts
hire a flashy lawyer
refuse to cooperate
rubbish the police
get political help and interference in the investigation
get investigators replaced/careers harmed

“Nov. 24, 1997, at 6:42 AM, a call to 911, placed by a mother reported her 5 month old infant, Sabrina, was missing. Marlene Aisenberg claimed she and her husband, Steve put the infant in her crib at 11 o’clock the prior evening and awoke the next morning to find an empty crib.
A garage door was left open, but the family dog, Brownie, never barked. There was no evidence of an intruder.
A massive search was immediately launched surrounding the infant’s home and neighborhood.
After the parents were interviewed by law enforcement they decided to hire an attorney and refused to cooperate further, instead they made a media tour appearing on a host of national television shows to gain Support for their allegedly missing baby. They were critical of law enforcement. People within their community were beginning to suspect the parents..
The family home was tapped by law enforcement as part of their investigation.
Indictments against the parents were announced Thursday afternoon in Tampa by US Attorney Charles Wilson. The indictment claims the parents admitting to obstructing justice and responsibility for the death and cover up of young Sabrina.
There are two other children remaining in the home, a girl 4 and a boy 8 at the time of Sabrina’s disappearance.
In February 2001, all charges against the Aisenbergs were dropped. US District ending the 18-month prosecution of Steven and Marlene Aisenberg.
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the conduct of the two Hillsborough County, Fla., sheriff’s detectives who first investigated the case and focused on the baby’s parents. Stephen Kunz, was demoted and stripped of his supervisory responsibilities, shortly thereafter. His partner, Rachelle DesVaux Bedke, Federal Attorney, has been transferred to a different department. The two are being investigated by the Justice Department.”

Huelva was August the 3rd, exactly 3 months after the disappearence.
It was on that day that the PJ started to dig Murat’s garden and it surprised me that the parents did not stay in Praia da Luz, awaiting for eventual finding of Maddy’s body.
They knew Murat was an official suspect and they left to Spain.

Yes I did watch the other case and yes, very very similar even down the the hand holding and crying without tears.
I was also watching this morning a vid about a children’s entertainer (clown) who lashed out at a child at a party because the kid was being rude to him. He demonstrated the way he delivered the blow and it’s very similar to whoosh clunk! The similarities were noted and when you think about it, it looks like a one blow kind of action rather than a picking up and removing action by another person.

Just read the article, how can Gerry say he doesn”t know what they are charged with!!!!! The Police would certainly have told them at the time that they were
suspects in the disappearance of their daughter.
Note in the Aisenberg case the bugging evidence was proved inadmissable and the case
dismissed. It is interesting to note that under Portugese law it is admissable. In the U.K. the McCann Lawyers would refute any evidence if their home was bugged, don”t
think the Home Secretary would agree anyway.

Anyhow,in this vid there is a reference to Joana Cipriano made by gerry who then said -joanas body was not found- find (madeleines) and prove we”ve killed her…….
I found info over the trip to Huelva which was on the 3rd of august in the famous reanult where body fluids and stuff where found.At the very SAME time,the doggies smelt what they smelt in the boot and on the car key .
In addition, the PJ has collected video images of the vehicle in sensless places during this trip to Spain

I watched the Aisenberg case on youtube the other night and put it in “Favourites, tried to paste it on to here but it didn”t work!!!!!!!!!! If you hav”nt seen it, it is very
similar to the McCann case and well worth watching.

when he said “Find the body”.
One thing that has puzzled me for a while is why Gerry did not return with Kate to the
Apartment after she went to the Tapas Bar to sound the alarm. There were enough
Friends around to arrange for the Police to be informed and as the Father, wouldn”t
he feel the need to rush back with Kate?
The PJ have said that if they all don”t return for the reconstruction it won”t take place.
This could be a clever ploy because I”m convinced JT has already changed her story
when confronted with the evidence from the PJ at the interviews.

So why would SOCA be involved? All looks very promising if this is to be taken seriously!

there are 20 police personnel (including SOCA and the yard) involved in the interviews. As they cant all be in one room the interview is being relayed on to a screen in another room where the translations and notes are taken by the assembled police including the PJ members.
If this is true the scale of this interviews is mind bogglingly and for the Mcanns worryingly large.
They are taking this seriously.
The bombshell of the reconstruction and the timing of the request (some say it is an order which the McCanns will have to comply with) shows that the PJ have already decided they want a reconstruction. As the request did not coem at the end of the interviews it shows how determined they are.
The Mccanns travelling to Brussels and washington has backfired. If Kate can travel 9 hrs in a plane, she can very well travel 2 hrs to portugal. besides theyw ere allowed to return to the Uk after being declared PRIME SUSPECTS on the condition that they will return when asked. The lawyers came into teh scene later but any attempts to resist returning to portugal will blow their credibility right out of the water.

I see that the Guardian is continuing its admirable campaign to educate its readership in the vagaries of libel law:
‘An offer of amends is a formal procedure recently introduced into defamation law which, in the words of one judge, was intended to “help focus minds on achieving realistic compromise”.
Admittedly, getting sued by Tescos seems a somewhat drastic way of setting about it, but hey! it’s the thought that counts…

Well i am leaving because they want my farm, they have made me a very good offer on it.
i am South African, won’t help me much though, if the transfer comes through i am able to go and cool ,my heels at the coast till i am good and ready, worried about my family and pets though. can leave family behind but not the pets.

Jo…. thanks. I don’t stress out about it, just have to not spend too much time at the screen. I do enjoy popping in occasionally but TRY not to get too involved any more. (hard sometimes!)
Bounty Hunter…. very sad about Africa generally, Zimbabwe in particular at the mo and then of course South Africa to follow I’m sure. I have friends who got out of SA a couple of years ago and went to New Zealand aware that as they had a farm it was only a matter of time. Others in Jo’burg hanging on for the moment in hope because they ARE South African and it is their homeland. awful……….
