Madeleine McCann: Scotsman Apologises To Robert Murat
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
ROBERT Murat is involved in legal action against 11 British newspapers and Sky New.
THE Scotsman has apologised to Robert Murat and admitted publishing defamatory allegations about him.
Says the paper:
“On 15 May an article about Robert Murat headed ‘Madeleine: He jokes of being ‘No.1 suspect’’ was published in which we reported a number of defamatory allegations about Mr Murat in connection with the abduction of Madeleine McCann.
“The article wrongly accused him of ‘hanging around’ the scene in a manner which recalled the Soham murders.
“Likening his behaviour in this way to that of Soham murderer, Ian Huntley, suggested that he was involved in the abduction of Madeleine McCann. It was a seriously defamatory allegation and wholly untrue.”
The apology continued: “We also wrongly implied that he had been unfeeling and insensitive about Madeleine McCann’s disappearance and had lied about his role in the police investigation. That was not our intention.
“We accept that Mr Murat was assisting the police investigation into Madeleine McCann’s disappearance and that his behaviour was entirely proper throughout, and we are happy to make that clear.
“We apologise to Mr Murat for the hurt, distress and damage to his reputation caused by the article.”
No damages have been paid to Murat. Not yet…

ade,
well noted,
but it seems 152, 172 look like an act of masturbation. He did it before, I once witnessed his slip, when I still trusted him (soothing one). He was replying to himself.

What a picture, what a photograph!
Sadly tis not I, clad in lycra, scything my calf across my ear and straining the few active muscles I have left in my pelvic floor! But she looks like a game bird, up for a challenge and good luck to her. I am off now, having managed to rouse slumberous Smuddy and I am now hot on his muddy heels to the marital bed..

He is an artist, not an English teacher. He doesn’t need to spell to earn a living. He paints, draws is creative. Nothing that you would understand. Glad you have managed to google for the correct spelling or did you ask your son?

I spend time on Anorak because the girl I believe has been killed.
And looking forward when those guilty get found out and charged.
And because when scanning huge files one has slots of time that cannot be used in better way than Anorak. So I am working, do not worry, and the other “losers” on here - some in the City, poor them, and many of them write in a foreign language - great training for written English .
I think you are the same annoying housewife - soothsayer/gandolf/yampster. That’s who you are. And you are not even from The Team =Mc, but a sad troll on benefits, who sells single socks on e-bay and while waiting for bids, disrupts discussions on here.

Thank you, Ciara, for your kind comments.
There is only one poster who is usually keen on offending - it is Gando/soothsamster/reporter, probably the same.
Part of a training for artists is to be “durable” in regard to pointless offensive remarks, so I did not mind. I could have posted even Leonardo da Vinchi’s work, or a total rubbish - her post would have been exactly the same. And the joke had nothing to do with me - so it is a simply offensive post. I will bet it is a pro- , aiming at my opinion re Mccanns. So really do we all mind such things?
I think you will find mr super intelligent that its Leonardo da Vinci…theres no “h” you thick creature. Interesting really just shows your level of intelligence.

old jokes from a website (not mine)…
A group of psychiatrists go to tour an insane asylum that is reknowned for their progressive rehabilitation methods. They begin by visiting some of the patients. The first patient they visit is a young woman. She is practising ballet.
One of the psychiatrist asks, “What are you doing?” She replies, “I’m studying ballet so when I get out of here I can possibly join a troupe and be a productive member of society.” “Wow, that’s wonderful.”
The next person was a man reading a book with a pile of books next to him. The same question asked to him, “What are you doing?” “I’m studying biology, chemistry, etc. So I can enter medical school when I get out”
Room after room, they witnessed the incredible success and attitudes of the patients. Until they finally reached a room the asylums director was reluctant to open. Finally, he was persuaded to open it. Inside was a man balancing a peanut on his penis.
The psychiatrist asked, “My God what are you doing?” The man replied: “I’m fucking nuts and I’m never getting out of here”

Kallie,
Yours is the usual cry of a useless person. What you say is rubbish. End of story. I think I know who you are. Anyway, with such opinions about good and bad you will have trouble to persuade people to take you seriously. I suspect, in real life both your and your son are destined to stack my shopping trolleys for a living, as I said to you before
Oh please do tell what an idiot like you does for a living…oh sorry you dont need to, you spend your life on here with the other losers…all day every day. How very sad. N’er mind I suppose you call yourself a doctor as its something you were never intelligent enough to become. lol
Oh and why dont you let us all know whom you think I am then Dr Doolittle, or should i ask Ciara Holmes???

Kallie,
have you changed your name from some other?
A new poster would not start their first post like that.
What you are saying is rubbish.
The joke is not mine, it is 50 years old, and still laughable. Millions of people know the joke and still laugh. If you think they all suck - then you suck yourself.
And you need a good pair of glasses, too. Go to an optician. Tell your son to not bother with learning to draw- because his mum will never see the point.
You said it boy..the joke is OLD and wasnt funny when first said and still isnt. As far as my son is concerned his drawing is far superior to anything you seem to be capable of producing. I do see the point of drawing but if i was you i would give it up, thats all im saying and if you think you have talent, well that really is laughable. You must be “getting on a while” if you thinks that “joke” was remotely funny.

Kallie,
do you post here under any other names? Or is it your first ever post on anorak? If yes -you are stupid and rude, in my honest opinion, if you posted before - are you ashamed of revealing who you are?
