Unborn children don’t have rights , as they depend on another for their existence.
A friend of ours had a very late abortion some years ago, her very much wanted child developed severe heart problems in the 32nd week, it would not have survived once the cord would have been cut. The parents agonised for a week and then opted for drugs to be given to induce labour, the child breathed once. The medics knew from bitter experience that the same thing would have happened had the pregnancy gone full term.
What is the difference between early and late abortion? is it purely physical that late abortion harms the mother,or is painful for the foetus? ethically there is no difference at all.

There are a number of reasons why a small number of abortions are carried out at a late date; none of them include the mother not bothering to get an abortion at an early date.

It should be source of some concern that the MP who proposed a 20-week limit on abortions is apparently so stupid; there was no whip of any kind on the voting, much less a three line whip.

The fact that she is apparently incapable of distinguishing between truth and falsehood is, surely, an indication that her other claims may be equally imaginary….

After all there are enough things in place, for those in the position to produce to start with, to avoid pregnancy and adequate facilities to abort early if need be.

What is sad is that the unborn child has no rights and people like Nadine are ridiculed for doing something right for the child. After all there are enough things in place ,for those in the position to produce to start, to avoid pregnanc, with and adequate facilities to abort early if need be.
What more do they need?
If there is not people like Nadine to put forward legislation for the innocent then we might as well give up on the human race and let the limit go up and up until it can even be snuffed at birth.

Sally, I think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick here; Nadine Dorries is opposed to abortion and wished to reduce the time limits on its availability here.

Thankfully Parliament tossed her proposals out…
