Find Madeleine McCann On Facebook
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
SAY the McCanns: “We strongly support and encourage this new initiative to use Facebook to increase awareness of missing children.”
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, you will know that children go missing.
Although not if you’re watching the TV news of reading the newspapers because Madeleine McCann is no longer in the mass media.
But the campaign has not been in vain. She is on a press release.
And the better news is that no children have gone missing in the past few weeks. We look through the mainstream press every day. It’s a fact. But what of life on the internet?
The statement goes on: “Using the power of social media in this way will undoubtedly capture the attention - and hopefully the help - of a younger population who are a hugely valuable and resourceful group.
“We would urge the millions of Facebook users around the world to keep looking and to do what they can to help bring these children home.”
Missing People has set up a widget for Facebook users to download, which will mean information on current appeals will be displayed on their homepage.
Says missing People Chief Executive Paul Tuohy: “If every Facebook user downloaded our BT-powered application, millions of people internationally could see an appeal that could help us to reunite a family.”
Because BT cares…

‘Agreed. Their whole demeanour and actions have never rung true to me.’
it hasn’t to me from practically day one, but one tends to ignore that and think the best until the next thing ‘happens’. i have often thought the whole thing a story tale so incredible that it beggars belief.
‘But the McCanns have the same effect on me.’
i think that is what it is to me , it sounds good but it simply does not ring true and so i am morbidly fascinated almost to the detriment of all else unfortuatley. i even made cuddlecat pix but did not dare name it so because it would be an accusation.
‘They’re all wrong.
Just wish they’d speak out.
And to hell with the effect on them’
something is definately wrong about the story of the abduction of madeline, it reads just like that, a story.

1118, Gillyflowers,
The problem is the irreponsibility of the McCanns and, who knows, worse than that.
In few minutes, the whole Tapas 7 got involved in the case, willing or not.
The capacity of manipulation ot that couple is diabolic, imo.
Tapas 7 is still involved in it and even if they have nothing to do with it, people will judge them as well because they are protecting the McCanns.
Perhaps some of them don’t want to continue protecting them but the pressure is too heavy.
I don’t believe in a true friendship from the part of the McCanns.
They just use people, for money, for interviews or for getting involved in extremely serious problems.
Innocent people of Tapas 7 have their photos and names on papers and tv.
People doubt about their character and honesty.
This is bad for them.
I would recognise each of them anywhere in the world.
They have now a black spot on their curriculum vitae.
Thanks to the McCanns.

no not really, but thank you for asking

Agreed. Their whole demeanour and actions have never rung true to me.
We had a murder locally many years ago. We all felt it was the partner. The police were convinced it was the partner. And when the offspring were interviewed on tv we all felt they were involved too.
The partner went to prison. The offspring got them out.
But we all still felt they had the right person.
Can;t be too specific about the case as it would be too obvious whom I’m referring to.
But the McCanns have the same effect on me.
They’re all wrong.
Just wish they’d speak out.
And to hell with the effect on them

I’m well - fed up of the weather. 11 race horses and this shitty wind and rain is not a good mixture!.

if they genuinely believed she was abducted i’d have thought that they would have co-operated fully with the pj.
to my mind nothing about them is genuine.

yes, that is my problem too, i think something is not right then feel guilty for thinking that.

I agree Gilly they know what the story is regarding M.
Garth’s son had a bad fall but is okay. The weather was bad.
You suffered terrible abuse last night for no reason but I have an idea like others who the ‘new’ poster was. Best to ignore and not give them the attention they so obviously crave.
Hope you are well…C

Now I start to believe they are not going.
They don’t want to get more involved in the case than they are already.
By now, they must be deadly tired of the whole story.
I think they want to continue living their own lives.
Specially the ones who did not take part in anything.
One year is a lot, when you live under pressure of something you did not do.
They are tired of being manipulated.
IMO.

The tapas 7? you mean.
I agree. Course they’re not going.
Their lives had been turned upside down by their “friends”.
This is not about a littel girl going missing anymore. This is now self preservation

Mods and Admin
whoops, Maria’s style of writing has caused some conflict with other users in the past, and a lot of people simply bypass her posts as she tends to let her thoughts ramble on, she doesn’t back up any statements she does make with sources, despite many requests from us to do so, she finds it too much trouble - well they are her posts and if she cannot be bothered, why on earth should any one else? Also right in the middle of a post she is telling us of her last or next meal, then she goes.
——————————————
Mods and Admin
I make it absolutely clear, especially since your recent comments, when I am expressing opinions not facts.
Nobody else gives any more sources for their opinions than I do. In any case, I have often given sources for the basis of my opinions. I know that can be annoying. An example was the stuff about Missing People yesterday.
I think I’ve mentioned one meal, yesterday? Can’t remember any others just now. May have been. Other people talk about their everyday activities FAR more than I do, without any bother from you?? Why do I have different standards applied to me? If I am “talking” to someone and have to leave for a time, I simply say so.
Some posters are allowed to be as rude and aggressive as they like, even when they don’t provide sources, or even when their sources are shown to have been incorrectly used or unsound. I have always tried to be polite, even if just very occasionally stung to little sarcasm.
Many people say they scroll my posts but it rare that nobody replies…often those who SAY they scroll past them!
I think you are being somewhat unfair. I say that most courteously and with the greatest respect for your work as a moderator.
Maybe you should just ask me not to post any more? If you would prefer it, I would be perfectly happy not to post here. Please just say so. Absolutely no problem, M and A!
I can always cook instead!

Was here last night, but solely to be abused by pikey.
Who I thought had been banished the site for abuse and gone to another that cannot be mentioned.
Got the clue Matt!!
No real news on our missing girl then?
My guess on the will they/ wont they theme is they won’t.
Too much to lose. And noting to gain.
But imo they know where she is.

——————————————–
You may think that the MM thread is long, but by comparison with the way English people discuss the weather it’s a mere infant.
It may be something to do with losing an empire; much of the map is no longer pink but we still have the weather, which is, of course, much more interesting than other people’s weather.
It’s been an absolutely horrible day today, even making allowances for the fact that it’s a Bank Holiday…

Don’t say that!
She’s in Tuscany; genuine Romeo and Juliet country.
i do hope she has a very good time.
Leaning over the balcony as Old Smuddy, as she tenderly refers to her significant other, tosses another pile of muddy clothing up to her.
poor smuddy, no escapinjg the laundry it seems.
‘She might fall off, having done her bit for the Wine Lake’
do we have telegraphic contact ? might be an idea to signal her something interesting. i’ll let you know when i think of something interesting. that could take awhile mind you.
