MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
SAY the McCanns: “We strongly support and encourage this new initiative to use Facebook to increase awareness of missing children.”
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, you will know that children go missing.
Although not if you’re watching the TV news of reading the newspapers because Madeleine McCann is no longer in the mass media.
But the campaign has not been in vain. She is on a press release.
And the better news is that no children have gone missing in the past few weeks. We look through the mainstream press every day. It’s a fact. But what of life on the internet?
The statement goes on: “Using the power of social media in this way will undoubtedly capture the attention - and hopefully the help - of a younger population who are a hugely valuable and resourceful group.
“We would urge the millions of Facebook users around the world to keep looking and to do what they can to help bring these children home.”
Missing People has set up a widget for Facebook users to download, which will mean information on current appeals will be displayed on their homepage.
Says missing People Chief Executive Paul Tuohy: “If every Facebook user downloaded our BT-powered application, millions of people internationally could see an appeal that could help us to reunite a family.”
Because BT cares…

Now here is a thought-perhaps when kate or gerry checked on the kids, maddie was already dead-they didn’t actually say they checked she was alive-just that she was there!!

I’m bemused.

It depends on how many other apartments actually adjoin 5a….rather few I
would think.
May 25th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
354-If there had to be a corpse there for at least 2 hours and the Mc Canns say they saw her an hour before she dissappeared-they, or the dogs, must be lying. Or…..?

Dog reactions are not evidence…it is what the Investigators may locate,
thanks to the dog reactions…which can be evidence.

How wonderful; it was an anonymous source reported in the Mail. It gives me an opportunity to quote Lord Drummond Young again on another piece of sensationalism also purveyed by the Mail:
‘ If that is so, the quotation must be fictitious, made up by the author of the Daily Mail article and presumably repeated uncritically by the author of the article in Scotland on Sunday.’

5a….plus adjoining apartment….(hmmm…Oldfield was in such an apartment)
according to Clarence……also scent led dogs to another apartment…from
which 2 unnamed persons were seemingly allowed to leave next morning….
covered to prevent recognition and escorted. (???? mystery…….still trying
to figure out that one).

Maybe Ms Smudd can re-record the classic “Don’t mess with my TuTu” as Anoraks entry in Moscow 364 days hence.
———————————-
This would be good; I’m hoping she survives her holiday preparations, as well as her holiday, and will return refreshed and renewed.
At which point I shall be seeking an explanation for why she failed to mention the guys from Finland wearing black leather.
Not much to ask, is it?
Though having looked at the representative from Croatia it’s probably just as well I didn’t turn the tv on…

I went to Salou for a weekend a few years ago in July. It was warm but rained the whole time. I didn’t get to the beach or pool once.

MATT
saw a very interesting program on crime and investigation last week. woman murdered husband, his corpse was foun a day later in the woods, she said he had gone jogging the previous day. body had a headwound, several but no blood on the scene either. cops went to the house but could find no blood naked to the eye. brouhgt in lumonol and a special lamp. found lots all over bedroom, very well cleaned up. cop said when they get to a potential crime scene beautifully cleaned up, its always the family no killer would clean up so thorouhly.
she tried to [ut the blame on her daughter, kitten in each arm not allowed to move, please excuse lack of punctuation etc

Anything rather than explain why:
If Madeleine was abducted from an apartment where the patio doors had been left deliberately unlocked by the parents…
why did the abductor stage an elaborate “in through the door (what, the LOCKED front door?? )- and out through the window “) what, the window above the bed he’d have to clamber on to, with a heavy child in his arms?.
May 25th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
334&336-What I don’t understand is if the dogs are so reliable-why isn’t their reaction enough to have the McCanns arrested. There must be controversy over their reliability or anyone got an explanation-especially over the scent in the appartment suggesting corpse must have been there for at least 2 hours.
BTW I’m not Rasputin-I can’t do that cut and paste stuff.

Only if the “abductor” first smothered…and then sat around waiting
for 2 hours +…for the cadaverine scent to develop.
Quite unlikely, IMO.
matt, bounty hunter, do you know where the scent of cadaverine was found, which flat/villa ?

When I said “hope Garth hasn’t shot off again” I didn’t know someone had posted about a gun attack…
I just meant Garth failing, as ever, to provide anything but hot air.
