Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, you will know that children go missing.
Although not if you’re watching the TV news of reading the newspapers because Madeleine McCann is no longer in the mass media.
But the campaign has not been in vain. She is on a press release.
And the better news is that no children have gone missing in the past few weeks. We look through the mainstream press every day. It’s a fact. But what of life on the internet?
The statement goes on: “Using the power of social media in this way will undoubtedly capture the attention - and hopefully the help - of a younger population who are a hugely valuable and resourceful group.
“We would urge the millions of Facebook users around the world to keep looking and to do what they can to help bring these children home.”
Missing People has set up a widget for Facebook users to download, which will mean information on current appeals will be displayed on their homepage.
Says missing People Chief Executive Paul Tuohy: “If every Facebook user downloaded our BT-powered application, millions of people internationally could see an appeal that could help us to reunite a family.”
Because BT cares…

Duncan was correct tonight when he said it is nothing to do with the name of a poster. They can change name but the spelling, grammar and punctuation (mistakes or sentence structure) remain the same and can be a give away. You can’t disguise that. I would say Rasputin is an old poster with a new name.

I didn’t say M looked bruised in that photo, simply that she looked a bit unkempt, with puffy eyes and unwashed hair.
TBH if the papers had come up with that photo as the first pic of Madeleine, the public would have thought “Here is a neglected little kid, the parents must be to blame.”
Instead, the McCanns were at pains to present a pretty, sparkly little girl, even if it meant using photos which were months, or even years out of date.
WHY would M’s looks matter so much?

quite right remember that the pj had a hard time trying to find Maddies real dna, no wonder everything was so ’sterelized’. but not the boot of the car full of rotting meat and dirty nappies. drs know about dna and recovery positions………………….
i’m really not sure i wouldn’t have described the foetal position as the recovery position, depends on what your experience is i suppose, perhaps sleeping on ones side is the more proper way of saying it ?

Matt, now that is very strange as these are the words of the attorney-general.
Fernando Pinto Monteiro, Portugal’s attorney-general, also admitted that he did not know whether the couple would have been made suspects in light of the code, which came in on September 15.
“The law did not demand justified suspicions at the time in which they were made arguidos,” he said.

If you feel the McC had no part whatsoever in the disappearence of their daughter, apart from their absence,what do YOU think happened. And given they were watching the apartment how come they saw nothing, and surely they were aware there was another way in and out they couldn’t see from the Tapas bar, do you thing they were or were not remiss in not taking more care?

Hello. Not met before cos I haven’t been here for a while.
I read your post with interest. Clearly written and logical. But…
the timeline given by Kate, Gerry at al doesn’t leave enough tim for an abdution.
At least. Not the way they’ve told it.
So either they didn’t check at all. Or they checked less often than they said.
Or something else had already happened to Madeleine.
So.. if nothing else they left those kids at risk, alone , in an unlocked unlit apartment.
Those I believe are the facts as told, specifically by all of them
