Madeleine McCann: Bobby Hands, Cannes And A Hunger For Publicity
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
As Leslie Felperin, the excellent reviewer for Variety magazine remarked to me: the newspaper-reading public can’t be persuaded to react in the same way: they care about Madeleine McCann in a serious mood, or in a non-serious mood, they care about Sir Alan Sugar or Simon Cowell. The idea of actually caring about a violent arthouse film investigating the life of Bobby Sands is a very tall order indeed.

Garth has a tendency - as do the McCanns to change their minds. One minute - going - next minute back, off because the “heat” is getting to you then back because someone threw you a bucket of ice. The similarities are incredible

84 Matt,
I’m surprised if this is true.
I have to ask in Portugal if a pregnant woman can be in jail.
In Italy and Brazil it is not possible.

I haven’t written it yet.
We have another 362 days to go before Moscow.
I’m up for wearing black leather, and if Ade lends me one of his guitars I could pretend to play it.
Provided I get some training on holding it the right way round; I never, ever, even played air guitar, so I’m at a bit of a handicap…
i have a black les paul (by vox) which would be ideal
hold it with the cutaway towards the floor

or should that be adjacent to the floor

Matt - Ok then that theory just blew out of the window - maybe the bulge was from an excess of wine and tapas (by the way - what the bloody hell are Tapas?)

Hence the Formation of a Private Company!!!!!!!! It was agreed ages ago that the
the McCanns could not use the Fund to pay their Legal Fees and a seperate account
was set up for this purpose with Richard Branson contributing £100,000 specifically
for this . I think it was in the Mail I remember reading that John McCann was
disappointed at the decision because Legal Costs are high. That money would have
been used up a long time ago I should think.
I”m sure the PJ know what”s what and may be another reason for wanting Bank
Statements, won”t be easy for them though, in fact, it should be a U.K. Police
investigation IMO
Mods and Admin
There is a lot more to this , Branson said he would pay £100,000 towards legal costs, if they were acquitted. But some while back he dropped out of the frame, about Sept, when a lot of people quietly took a step away. There was also a separate Reward offered, by several people IF Madeleine was found alive, but this wasn’t a fund, it would have been paid directly to whoever found Madeleine.
The Fund itself was set up with several people named as Trustees, and it was found because it benefitted only one person that it could not be registered as a Charity, had they included the wording eg Missing Childrens Fund then it could, but of course there should have to be other disinterested parties as Trustees as well.

And anyway Garthy, you STILL cannot see the sliding patio doors from the opposite/adjacent/lying near to/any bloody where tapas bar/side road/moon unless you are an ostrich (or stork as M&A would prefer
), go-on find me a pic where you can see that bloody patio door from across the side road (you’re almost, just almost convincing me that I’m looking at the wrong apartment
)

You seem to be missing the point…………. but then that is understandable. Why would you need to see the patio doors?

One more remark:
NON of us knows! It’s all speculation, whether it’s a [hate the labelling] pro/anti/fence post. Maria’s stand has allways been very clear. Though she seems to be able to look at things from both ’sides’. Which could be confusing for people who only look at things from one side.
Back to work, much more fun! Awhoooooooooooo
—————————————————————-
No, Maria’s stand has not always been very clear. If you actually read her post 1051 yesterday, you will see that at one point she claimed that I was:
’searching for reasons to excuse the act of killing Madeleine, at least if it was Kate who carried it out.’
No rational person, having read my very lengthy posts on this case, over many months, could possibly draw that conclusion.
Not least because it’s bonkers…
***********************
I’m most certainly not going to discuss her opinion on your post[s] or the other way around. Do you have that expression too like “when two dogs fight, don’t come near or in between”?
But I do think you’re not trying to find excuses for them, in case they did it, although you also pointed out [if I'm not mistaken] that a cover up of an accident is not the most hideous crime in the world.
What I was referring to was her stand on the McCanns, whether she thinks they are guilty of something more serious then irresponsible/neglectful behaviour [which by itself is serious enough in this case].

92 Val,
yes, the three accused Murat as being there which imo is a proof he has nothing to do with the case.
They would never point to a colaborator, knowing he could talk too much, under pressure.
The best was to “recognise”an innocent man, who knew nothing.

The Guardian, Monday April 28 2008…
“”Donna McLeish, 21, an inmate at Cornton Vale, the women’s prison in Stirling,
was also placed under 24-hour surveillance by three guards from private security
firm Reliance during a separate hospital visit despite the fact she was only able to
walk using crutches at the time.
McLeish, who is seven months pregnant, was sentenced in January to two years
in prison for assault following a glass attack on a woman at a nightclub. She told
of being handcuffed to the Reliance officer when she was admitted to hospital in
March with a blood clot on the placenta.”"”

A person can imitate a voice through the telephone,
and internet can be broken in, resulting in the possibility of a false message.
that’s why nowhere in the world this can be used as evidence but only indication.

Hi there.
I read recently that Murat”s Lawyer pointed out the Murat would have been declared
arguido 1 year on 14th May and he hoped this would be lifted. If you remember there
was a buzz around that date but nothing happened. anyway, it turns out that some of
the evidence in his file is linked to the McCanns file and that is why he can”t be cleared.
It would seem the PJ believe he was at home with his mother on 3rd May, which makes
the 3 Tapas members who said they saw him look questionable, IMO

Yes….but there have been several statements, by Team Mccann etc, regarding
who is paying for what ect….all of them different..and not one convincing.
Even Clarence allegedly stated that he was not being paid by Mr K…but doing
his PR’ing just for the sake of the good Dr’s…..and that was after it was made
known that he was employed by Mr K.
Just spin….spin….spin…and possibly a lot of Creative Accountancy.

There may some truth in it, but obviously we would need confirmation. I did look
on Sky News before I came here, but there is nothing reported.
If true, I didn”t think the mobile phone evidence would be allowed, a question of
Human Rights and all that…….what about Madeleine”s rights though, if the evidence
was overwhelming!!!!

If Kate is pregnant(we don’t know), she has all the right not to be arrested, not to go to jail, not to live under pressure during her pregnancy and during the time she is feeding the child.
This law exists all over the world.
Possibly, who knows, the father is also somehow protected, in order not to
upset the pregnant wife.
I don’t know about the rights of a father.

ade - I might be wrong, but I think paternity leave is available to folk who adopt - not just the ones responsible biologically
