Madeleine McCann: Bobby Hands, Cannes And A Hunger For Publicity
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
As Leslie Felperin, the excellent reviewer for Variety magazine remarked to me: the newspaper-reading public can’t be persuaded to react in the same way: they care about Madeleine McCann in a serious mood, or in a non-serious mood, they care about Sir Alan Sugar or Simon Cowell. The idea of actually caring about a violent arthouse film investigating the life of Bobby Sands is a very tall order indeed.

It”s only the arguidos who must attend, the witnesses can refuse and I think we know who refused!!!!! Not to save the McCanns, but themselves!!!!!!

I agree if all have told the truth then there is nothing to fear and much to gain in going ahead with it. I keep saying on here if you tell the truth then there is nothing to remember. It is only when you lie then panic sets in and you have to recall what you said. I think the recon might reveal too much but not about M .

Gerry”s salary at Glenfields was £75,000 plus his private work, so he would hardly work for much less and the Research assistant would not have been a Junior for that
kind of Salary. I definitely posted the application form on here because I pointed out
a clause saying the Applicant should not have been accused of any crime (not the exact words)!! If you can find Gerry”s blog or something, you might find it there.
I distinctly remember reading he had been working every evening and weekend and
he only knew he had won while they were on holiday.

454, Well seeing as G&K don’t seem that stressed IMO, then yes they could-But seriously-people have different thresholds and of course he could have other unknown stresses in his life. Of course they could go ahead with look a likes-anyone know what they do look like?

That’s an emotional reaction. Do you remember the law has changed? They can’t make people an arguido that easy any more.
May 27th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Maybe the PJ just wanted to make a point. Who will return and who will not - sorts it out in some way. You can work it out - the senior one with no children was willing, and the two with the baby monitor probably won’t get done for neglect, so was also willing. The remainder put their arses on the line in defence of the McCanns, so can we assume that these are the relucant ones? Very revealing IMO. That’s if, of course, that the reporting is true.
I’ve just watched the Apprentice and I don’t believe a word of it. It’s so pre recorded that the editors are trying to put a progtamme together. The producers are the onesthat make the programme not theparticipants. Our labradors could have it sussed in minutes.
Please - who goes to Knightsbridge to rent a car? They’re all women buying shoes and bags. Yet the public are fooled. By brother thinks it’s the best thing since sliced bread. How can I tell him……..
Sorry - went right off topic then - but do you get my drift?
What is reported on the news is not the truth. It’s what they want you to believe. The news blackout on the McCann case is mysterious and journalists have had a shot at it. Remember Brunt saying on Sky that there was a 100% match DNA to Madeleine. That report got archived in favour of more favourable spin pro McCann.
What the hell is going on here?

‘1. In the investigation file No. /, pending Ministry of Public Services in the District of… where investigates the disappearance of MM and the possible occurrence of crimes of kidnapping, murder, exposure or abandonment of minor and concealment of corpse , The Portuguese. Mr Public Prosecutor holder of the process of investigation, invoked under the provisions of art. 15. Article 2 of Law No. 88/89 of September 11, 187. Article 1, alin. a) and 4, alin. a) and b), 252. º-A and 269. thereof No. 1, alin. e) of the CPP.’
it is interesting because it phrases precisely what the investigation is about. and it’s also interesting because the mccanns were made arguidos with a similar reason, for harming and ‘occluding’ the body or their daughter, and perhaps now also the charge of neglect leading to harm is being considered. it is simply not quite accurate for them to state they have not been charged simply because there is no british equivalent of the portugese state of being an arguido.

Hello
Would it hurt them to go? Why arent they naming who wont attend? bet your bottom dollar its kate and gerry applying pressure. If they had nothing to hide and they were telling the absolute truth about events of that night, they would go back in a heartbeat, even just to conclude the case

A scenario (IMHO) - after refusing to join the reconstruction make the four friends arguidos and bring those six people back to a forced reconstruction. would that be fun?
===================================
Totally agree. Said it earlier, make ‘em all arguidos!
Innocent or guilty go back & at least be seen to be helping. Will score points with the general public at least? Which I believe they may need for any (more) future funds?
May 27th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
Although, if one of the Tapas is really stressed by all this and off work with it, I can see why that person and their partner might be reluctant to go-Whoops-back on the fence.

I never thought the recon would go ahead. Not with these two. Assist in the search? Only if there is something in it for them. After all it is only about them.

I should think so!!
Peter was always doing manly things with Daddy, like sweeping the leaves up while Jane, his sister, watched him admiringly OR helped Mummy bake a cake or something similarly suitable!
Wonder how the G and K stories work out?! Politically correct, I hope?
You can trace much of our social history just through reading schemes.
Far too young to remember ITA (Initial Teaching Alphabet)? A whole generation had reading made so much more difficult by it. IMO. Anyway…off topic.
