Madeleine McCann: Jasper Gerard - What I Did On My Holidays
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
PRIVATE Eye reports that Telegraph columnist Jasper Gerard – a sometime sports writer who surely needs billing as ‘Jaspie G’ - marked the first anniversary of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance by travelling to Portugal with his wife and two children.
He also, allegedly, took along a security guard for baby minding duties.
Sadly, the reported investigation was never published, it being said to be too revolting for the paper’s Travel Editor, although it may yet appear in the main news section…
Mr Gerard has not replied to the rumour…

You can get calls anywhere on your mobile - professional people are not on pay as you go - rest assured - they are more mobile savvy than they let on - did they not say they were texting during the plice interviews ?
yes, there was that too, like i said i don’t have a mobile phone so i don’t know. thanks

Does this mean that yur average Anorak blogger does not know how mobiles work
++++++++++++++++++++++++
O.K. I admit it. I’m thick.
I’m still trying to get to grips with the new mobile I received last week for my birthday !!!

As i said earlier, the only reason I can think of, other than inside involvement of course, that I would want text/phone activity kept secret is if it was some sort of romantic liaison that I wouldn’t literally want the world and his wife to know about. But I am not saying this is the case here.

‘No-but if then all this came to light and a child was missing they would scrutinise all footage, and then it might?
BTW-why has Gerry refused, or should I say have they given a reason why if the records were there for inspection for months -why have they now refused?’
i don’t know obviously, i was wondering if this is possible what is reported that gerry says in the mirror newspaper;
‘The only time his phone rang was when work called and he explained he was on holiday. ‘
husband thinks you can get calls on your mobile if you’re abroad but you have to make an agreement or something with the phone company as it’s expensive, does anyone know ?

148-absolutely so-but if there wasn’t which is what a lot of people think-the McCanns etc. must have been pretty sure there were no CCTV cameras around befor they started screaming abductor. In fact if there was CCTV working-it would probably all be solved by now!!! Sorry I’m stating the obvious I know.

maybe more obvious? could be an anomoly??????????

The same would be true if there was an abduction!
May 29th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
The Mirror article - Another case of McCann ‘Fury’ !! love it ! Do we have it on good account what that looks like ? Is it lie when Homer is exsasperated ?

May 29th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
As I was out running (a la KM)-I just had athought. If there was no abduction and it was the McCanns or one of Tapas hiding a corpse-not saying it was-but, they would have had to have known that either there was no CCTV or the CCTV wasn’t working-otherwise how would they have known they weren’t caught on camera?
May 29th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
At the risk of being presumptious, I expect you will be tuning in tonight Duncan.

Loss of interest,methinks
It has gone on for too long but “the end” is coming at a fast pace though
Already today,we have some official news and this is only the beginning
May 29th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
As part of the ruling, it emerged for the first time that the McCanns are being investigated for manslaughter.
It is the first time official paperwork has been made public in the year-long investigation into the five-year-old’s disappearance from Praia da Luz.
The 5,000-word ruling also reveals that police are investigating the McCanns for “exposure, abandonment and concealment of a corpse”
“Nor have they been accused of any crime.”
Not yet,not yet but vastly under way
