Madeleine McCann: Jasper Gerard - What I Did On My Holidays
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
PRIVATE Eye reports that Telegraph columnist Jasper Gerard – a sometime sports writer who surely needs billing as ‘Jaspie G’ - marked the first anniversary of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance by travelling to Portugal with his wife and two children.
He also, allegedly, took along a security guard for baby minding duties.
Sadly, the reported investigation was never published, it being said to be too revolting for the paper’s Travel Editor, although it may yet appear in the main news section…
Mr Gerard has not replied to the rumour…

I just dont understand how they can say its responsible parenting! I had a dilemma today, my daughter, who is 10, was invited to camp in her friends garden in a 2 man tent, i said absolutely no, she says i am too overprotective, or words to that effect!

Question Time, If the Tories are going to rely on people like Eric Pickles, they may as well rely on Nellie Pickles.

hi all
My personal feeling is, that if that apartment had gone up in flames in between the so called checks, then surely by now they would have been charged with neglect. According to the them an abductor snatched maddie whilst being left all alone, what on earth is the difference?

Annie 1 -guess you weren’t invited to the party either-
do you think they will get charged with neglect or is it just another false lead. IMO they are guilty of neglect-and added to this their behaviour since then should mean that they get charged. You cannot leave your kids, blame everyone else and then bang on about some stupid(IMO) alert system, whenwe wouldn’t need a bloody system if you did what you, as parents must do,…and want to…..be responsible 24/7, 365 days every year.
If you are not-then …. really you shouldn’t have them.

We Mods have to lead by example.
When advising Gloria of these dancing hippos, I shall, of course, have to quote the source of these links

Hello, - Well there’s a turn up for the books then eh? so the Mcfumbles are probably going to be hauled over the carpet for neglect - about time too. Any news from Clarrie of the Manor? I am missing out on the news - just catching up with things on line - back home on Sunday…
May 29th, 2008 at 10:39 pm

If I am right, Garth disapeared yesterday at 10.55 pm.
On the evening that Correio da Manhã published for the first time about Public Ministry’s conclusion.
Did Garth escape to Argentina?

Doh, does nobody want to talk about the case? i’ll just have to keep my next ‘enlightening’ thought to myself…er, when I have one that is.

We are hopeless aren’t we? two Mods around and ontopic off! the forums are even worse
well i don’t know what to say either, i don’t do phones, dislike them even, everytime the dratted thing rings its like you have to drop everything you’re doing just to give it attention and carry out whatever it want’s, which is usually taking it to one of the kids.
M and a
I really need one, meeting clients and running late due to traffic, they like pix of their pets and daily texts while away, and if I need avet or breakdown the phone is essential. Also have clients who can get dealyed with no warning at dog shows, and when I’m away overnight or longer handy for emails etc. Also we have 3 elderly relatives two at 87 and one at 95 in poor health, so we are both contactable. Horses for courses really
