Madeleine McCann: Jasper Gerard - What I Did On My Holidays
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
PRIVATE Eye reports that Telegraph columnist Jasper Gerard – a sometime sports writer who surely needs billing as ‘Jaspie G’ - marked the first anniversary of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance by travelling to Portugal with his wife and two children.
He also, allegedly, took along a security guard for baby minding duties.
Sadly, the reported investigation was never published, it being said to be too revolting for the paper’s Travel Editor, although it may yet appear in the main news section…
Mr Gerard has not replied to the rumour…

Mirror reports
“The only time his phone rang was when work called and he explained he was on holiday. There are no mystery texts…”
Did G not inform the NHS that he was taking leave beforehand?
NHS: Patient X is here for his appointment again.
G: Not again. I don’t care how many times X’s appointment has been cancelled. Just cancell him . No I can’t see him I am on holidays. No don’t be ludicrous- I can’t get back from Portugal. You deal with it!

Do you think the saga is beginning to crumble. Every time they open their mouths - well, won’t put it here. Justice for that child at all costs. How come the mobile phones of celebrities, especially one cricketer, can be gotten into and the text splashed everywhere.
M and A
Beyond doubt , its crumbling, there’s not much left to put spin on. For the longest time it just hasn’t been about the victim, and the parents are just tedious to say the least

311 Tracy Knysna,
“The only time his phone rang was when work called and he explained he was on holiday. ”
Why can’t the McCs ever come up with sensible answers to simple questions. The more complicated they make the answers the more likely it is that people will think they are lying.

The only time his phone rang was when work called and he explained he was on holiday. There are no mystery texts. Gerry has nothing to hide.
DUUHHHHHH - Surely his work would have KNOWN that he was on holiday? Or dont the Mcconnnssss have to apply for leave either……

McCanns in fury after 14 txts slur Daily Mirror

Gerry McCann reacted angrily yesterday to claims he received a string of mystery texts the day before his daughter vanished.
Police applied to Portugal’s supreme court to seize his phone records after learning of the alleged messages.
They claim Gerry was sent 10 texts from an unknown number 24 hours before Madeleine disappeared.
And detectives say four messages arrived from the same mystery number the day after she went missing, according to court documents.
But Gerry and wife Kate have dismissed the claims as “utter rubbish”.
A source close to them said: “They have had their phone records available for inspection for months. But the police never asked for them. And now they have formally asked, they have been refused.
“Any suggestion of Gerry receiving 10 texts the day before Madeleine disappeared are utter rubbish.
“He hardly used his phone during the holiday and most of the friends with them didn’t even have mobiles.
“The only time his phone rang was when work called and he explained he was on holiday. There are no mystery texts. Gerry has nothing to hide. It’s yet more nonsense coming from Portugal.”
Police also applied to see the phone records of the friends that Gerry and Kate were on holiday with.
But Portugal’s supreme court yesterday issued a detailed ruling rejecting the application. It is believed detectives waited too long to request the records and that accessing them could breach privacy laws. A local judge had already turned down the application.
As part of the ruling, it emerged for the first time that the McCanns are being investigated for manslaughter.
It is the first time official paperwork has been made public in the year-long investigation into the five-year-old’s disappearance from Praia da Luz.
The 5,000-word ruling also reveals that police are investigating the McCanns for “exposure, abandonment and concealment of a corpse”.
Kate and Gerry recently claimed police do not officially suspect them - even though they are both still “arguidos”.
McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “They are not officially suspected of any crime.
“Nor have they been accused of any crime.”
Maddy has been missing for 392 days

Note: This report is inaccurate. It was 14 text messages on 02 May 2007 and 4 text messages on 04 May 2007.

Thanks (it stops squabbles, too)

who expects a great story now, told by Carrie?
I’d love to listen to it.

A good idea would be checkin on videos at airports, in England and in Faro, regisrating departures and arrivels.
How many bags Tapas 9 were taking with them at that time.
In times of terrorisme, there must be a lot of videos everywhere in airports.

John Lewis is a large British department store in many large towns.

“don’t forget I think the McCanns lie a lot.I can not believe they were travelling without a push chair.”
Sure we have seen loads of photos with them pushing the twin buggy ? Also was a description by somebody about having seen them in a nearby town / ? village ? with Madeleine walking and a pushchair with Gerry across the road - remember. So they did atleast have access to one - and BEFORE the arrival of all the relatives.

What is John Lewis?

300 Anny1,
don’t forget I think the McCanns lie a lot.I can not believe they were travelling without a push chair.Specially together with three children.
Besides they could have used a push chair of somebody of Tapas 7.

Yes, the Oldfields and Tanner and OBrien may have been the refusals.
Actually, I have been traveling for several days.
Has there been reporting to this effect?

Sam said 167:
“professional people are not on pay as you go - rest assured - they are more mobile savvy”
Does this mean that you cannot use a mobile abroad if you are on ‘pay as you go’ then Sam?

Maravilha - Remember they said they hadnt got a pushchair because if they had one they would have gone to the other restaurant on the 3rd May and taken the kids with them - remember them saying that they couldnt carry them if they were tired and it was too far without a “buggy” so they left the poor little kids to their own devices. Whatever the outcome of all of this - those twins will grow up knowing what assoles their parents are.

I thought that this was strangs. “Mrs Oldfield is an ex Corporate Tax Lawyer” who ended up working in John Lewis?? wonder why the shift? Bit like hearing that Tony Blair is working at McDonalds.

297,
False Flag,
the twins push chair would attracted attention around because people could miss a head or two heads in the chair.
maybe a little car from the super market full of groceries around a body.
Yes, a bag, a sport bag. That would have being the best.

“If there was no abduction and it was the McCanns or one of Tapas hiding a corpse-not saying it was-but, they would have had to have known that either there was no CCTV or the CCTV wasn’t working-otherwise how would they have known they weren’t caught on camera?”
‘Blue bag’ perhaps ? Twin push-chair ?

Seems like it was just the 2 Paynes and Webster who agree to go back for the recon. in Portugal then. They were the pair who had kids monitered and the older woman. The other 4 who refused are obviously shit scared because they also left their kids and wouldnt want to end up in Portugal for the next 10 years. OK - a week is all well and good, and maybe manage a fortnight, but a 10 year holiday in a Portugese clink - well I suppose it would put the wind up one’s knicker leg, wouldnt it?

Oh, how I hope the spirit of Madeleine’s is haunting Tapas 9, every night.
How I hope the responsible ones will never found peace.
(Mod and Adm: if you think I have to moderate what I said now, I can change into “haunting Tapas 9 three times a week”)
