Al Gore Is From Venus, Humans Are From Earth
ALK Gore is confusing Venus and planet Earth in his bad science exhibition:
After leading into the topic with the statement “there’s an illusion still out there that the climate crisis may not be real, and if you want to be one step ahead, believe me, it’s real,” he used as his first example “a tale of two planets, Earth and Venus,” which are the “same size, same amount of carbon, but on earth most of the natural processes have put carbon into the earth as fossil fuel.” He then pointed out the average temperature on Earth is 59 degrees (fahrenheit), and the average temperature on Venus is 875 degrees. But he didn’t point out that Venus is 67 million miles from the sun, and earth is 93 million miles from the sun - that plus undoubtedly many other significant differences in the composition of Earth and Venus would account for the difference in temperature. So Gore was not off to a good start.
The sun is the bright orange thing…

Rule number three, don’t forget your Brolly.

It would be nice if Ecoworld provided some science to support its claims; after all, if you are going to accuse someone of using bad science it would appear necessary to provide some good science of your own.
Who knows, if Ed Ring had tried some elementary research of his own he might have avoided the farcical claim that Venus temperature can be attributed to its relative position to the sun.
What’s the point of dispatching the Venus Express and then completely ignoring its findings?
And if Ecoworld can’t run to a subscription to Nature I’m sure the press releases issued by the ESA would have informed him sufficiently to avoid making a prat of himself…

Too much water has been remove from nature’s control. When the Americas and Europe release most of their captured water back to its true owner (the Earth) global warming, the process by which the Earth replaces water (mistakenly removed from the planet’s control by some unauthorized activity, will no longer be necessary for the Earth to fully comply with rule number one. Global warming will be reversed and the planet will get back to full complience with rule number two.

I’m only sorry that when you global warming deniers have made the only habitable planet available to us uninhabitable, you will destroy my family with your own.

perhaps you didn’t grasp his whole presentation, afterards he compared mercury, which is closer to the sun than venus, but has a lower temperature of 354 degree. however it doesnt have a (mostly) carbon dioxide atmosphere like venus.
