Incest With Minors In Arizona Is Fine
TO KINGMAN, Arizona, where an Arizona judge is dropping four of eight charges against polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs.
Mohave County Superior Court Judge Steven Conn dismissed the charges Wednesday at the request of the defense, finding that a state incest law does not apply to the arranged marriages of two teenage girls and their older male relatives.
Conn ruled that the law applies only if both participants in the sexual activity are older than 18 and that the law does not apply to half-cousins.
Indeed. You can have sex with your 15-year-old underage niece but wind up in more trouble for shagging her adult sister.
Conn also wrote that because the incest law specifically mentions half-brothers and -sisters, it arguably excludes all other relationships of the half blood by not mentioning them.

In Australia a photographer had his photos taken away as they were considered-porn. Now the court has let him go after it was found no charges could be laid against him. So, what is the world coming to? Some very pleased lawyers and the green light for pedophiles. Wicked.

Another incidence of the “religious cult” getting its own way. Look what has occurred in USA where the children are to be returned to their mothers/parents. This decision will leave abuse laws in chaos now and won’t those abusers have a ball. Those who are at the receiving end of the abuse will have not comeback now. Shame, shame, shame.

Fortunately Jeffs is already serving two terms of 5 years to life; would it be uncharitable of me to hope that it veers towards the life rather than five years?
I don’t think I’ll seek Jeffs’ religious guidance on this point…
