Drunk Drives Around To Sober Up
IN NEW Jersey, Edward T. Defreitas tells police he is driving around until he sobers up enough to go home.
Sadly, things did not to go to plan and Defreitas became involved three-vehicle crash in which an ambulance overturned.
Defreitas was driving his 2003 Nissan 350 when it struck a car, the ambulance and then a utility pole.
Defreitas then tried to sober up by going for a jog, but was soon caught by the police.
“He was waiting for the effects to wear off. He was afraid to go home and his mother finding alcohol on his breath,” says Sgt. Ronald Heinzman.
