DIANE Abott is right:
I do not believe, as Ministers continue to insist, that there is some trade-off between our liberties and the safety of the realm. What makes us free is what makes us safe, and what makes us safe is what will make us free.
They are taking away our liberties…

can’t understand why everyone is so hung up about the number of days - surely the point is that they are keeping people banged up without charge. If they do that, it really doesn’t matter whether it is 42 days or 42 hours - it’s wrong.
