Beat The Petrol Crisis With A SatNav
THE Express uses its front page to announce: “EMPTY SHELVES – this was the bleak scene in Spain yesterday. Now Britain faces the same misery as petrol strike is on.”
Above the headline, and the picture of what may the only British shopper not buying booze in a Spanish supermarket, is the offer: “WIN A TOMTOM IQ SATNAV.”

Beat the petrol crisis with a SatNav to stop you getting lost and save you petrol.
Beat the petrol crisis with a SatIn at home
Beat the petrol crisis with a SatIn garage fuel tank stockpile.
At least rest assured, or be assured of some rest - the panick-buyers will still be working when the rest of us are on our hauliers

I love the pedestrian crossing picture anorak, are you implying that we should walk more?
I particularly love the enviromentalists (usually londan based) who welcome this manufactured crisis by saying that we should rely on public transport.
Our village has two buses a week to the local market town, leaving at 9.45am and returning at 3pm.
I wonder whether I should approach the local hospital where I work and ask if I can adjust my hours to suit public transport as the said market town does have direct links to the city where it is based. I could probably get there for 11 am and as long as I leave work by 1.30 ish I should just make it!
I wonder what would happen if all health workers insisted on using public transport.
I could cycle the 23 miles leave around 4am to start my 7am shift, and returning around 11pm in the evening. I hope that I don’t get any back to back shifts though, and that the patients don’t mind me being sweaty as they no longer provide changing facilities for staff (waste of vaulable space).
Or perhaps I should just give up work and claim benefits until a deseil guzzling bus is laid on just for me.
Sorry about the rant - sore subject
