Madeleine McCann: Death Threats And A Bedroom Intruder
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
LEICESTER MERCURY: “DEATH THREATS MADE TO GERRY AND KATE”
Gerry and Kate McCann have installed panic alarms and CCTV cameras at their Rothley home after receiving “menacing letters and e-mails”.The report, in a Sunday newspaper [The People], said the parents have received two death threats - and one sender suggested an intruder would target the missing five-year-old’s bedroom.
And do what? Take pictures for a tabloid?
The People quotes a Leicestershire Constabulary spokesman who tells the world:
“Unfortunately, there are some lunatics out there. They will not let these people break them down.”
Does that sound like an objective police officer?
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman:
“I can state that on the instigation of Gerry and Kate McCann, Madeleine is a ward of the High Court of England and Wales.
“An application has been made on Madeleine’s behalf by her parents for disclosure of certain documents. The hearing is currently scheduled for July 7 in the High Court in London.
“It has been the stated intention of Gerry and Kate McCann to leave no stone unturned in doing everything necessary to search for their daughter, as would any parent.
“This application is just part of their search for Madeleine.”
Same story in the Mail.

Cheryl …… He is a grim-looking impassive monster. I am always disturbed by people who look so cool and calm when in the face of adversity.
I would have given him a fair trial if he had at least pretended to have some feelings wouldn’t you?
He should have stayed in Boston after the murder. He should have drunk a couple of bottles of wine, then called 911 and said he had just finished having supper in his back yard - when he went back into the house and whoosh clunk - an intruder had whipped in off the street and murdered his family!
This is the difference between the educated classes with mates in high places and ordinary working-class murderers. It’s a bloody sin!
He could have been on TV this morning making a name for himself, with women queueuing up to give him love and being whisked around the World by the Press to campaign against wicked, evil, predatorial, criminal types.
___________
Coco, what got to me was being so cold and callous in not only murdering his 9 month old daughter and lovely wife but going and taking her father’s gun to commit the heinous crime and then be calm enough to take it back to her parent’s home and put it back where he got it from and then catch a plane to the UK! How cold and calculating and well thought out it was on his part. We know over here that the UK won’t extradite back to the US if someone is facing the death sentence - no wonder he bought a one-way ticket, he thought he was home free.
His case reminded me a lot of the Scott Peterson case, the man who killed his pregnant wife and their baby was due in six weeks so found guilty of murder of both. However, he is sitting on death row in San Quentin.
Also, both convicted men have parents who believe they didn’t do it - or do they really believe their sons didn’t do it!

Not sure if the police would tell him and in case they did tell him if its the truth.

AGW …… I think it was all OK to do anything they wanted unil they became suspects. Once they were made suspects they should have shut the fuck up.
I I was a Judge, I would lock all the Tapastwats up for 3 years for fucking off and leaving the children unsupervised - they have admitted to leaving doors open in case of fire so they can be banged up for that.
Then I would give KM the maximum 2 years for telling the World that the bizzies had confiscated her Bible. That was really, really, really naughty and against Portuguese law.
I am rather hoping that the Portuguese really piss the Tapastwats off and make them all suspects - this month!

The aforementioned Diplomat with impeccable history seemed to believe that the police had serious sh*t on the Clan before he was removed from his post - and peculiarly enough - it was at this point that the Clan couldn’t get hold of Gordon Brown anymore …. Spooky!

Got to get off now myself but has anybody ever heard anything about anything to do with the mysterious yacht-owner who was moored off PDL for more than a couple of years, but fucked off a few days after M allegedly ‘dosappeared’?
It’s just that there are some utterly fabulous yachts that hang around Majorca and Marbella etc., all year round just in case any Brits need top lawyers pronto. I only know this because an acquaintance of mine needed one once when he got involved with some rather corrupt officials.
I think this is why the Milk Tray Man idea came into my mind the other day.
I am definitely not insinuating that this yacht had a lawyer on - but it’s possible due to to drug trafficking, child exploitation etc. that some type of Mr Big-type man could have been loitering on a yacht in case any well-connected persons should ever have needed him - and then one night the Diplomatic Squad did need him.
I remember a Diplomat having cross words with our own UK government after being asked to help the Clan all he could. He didn’t think it diplomatically marvellous and told them in diplomatical terms - and then they removed him from his post - allegedly - but he don’t fucking work there no more anyway!

They reckon in a nutshell that Hell will freeze over first.
I said that at the very least they should be locked up for leaving the kids out of ear-shot and speaking out about the case and for tormenting people on Anorak.
In fact I would give them all life for the last one.
Come on the Portuguese! Get your arses in gear and bring some mini-charges!

‘Perhaps since the appeal went ahead we could assume that it was not illegal?’
—————————
Good thought. Next time I’m arrested for robbing a bank I’ll be sure to point that out…
————————————–
Good morning before I must go
I don’t think that it is a good analogy to compare a public appeal with robbing a bank. If the May Appeal to police witnesses 2008 was illegal and the police had had no communications about it in advance to prevent it, then they could at least have managed any phone calls or even shut the phone line down.
I accept that if the McCann’s May appeal was legal they may have had no reason to communicate with the police about it and ok it with them. Although that would be unusual for these reasons
Because the police have been involved in previous appeals
Because the police usually are involved in appeals
Because the Mcs are arguidos
Because the media were involved and may have wanted to confirm that an appeal to police witnesses was legal
Because there are police liasion officers working with them.
Because the Mcs appear to have several senior retired police officer supporters
At the time of the May appeal I thought that an appeal to police witnesses must be illegal or should be illegal, so it raised questions about the role of police authorites. The forthcoming court action against the Leic police to release confidential documents changes the impression of the Mc relationship with the UK police.

VQ - if you’ll recall only reason we were able to get his sorry ass back from the UK to stand trial for murdering his US baby daughter and wife we had to promise we wouldn’t execute him! But then unfortunately he was lucky to begin with, they don’t have the death sentence in that State.
Did you watch any of the trial? SOB didn’t even show emotion when they were reading the verdict of guilty of two murders in the first degree. Let’s see how long that British ‘keep the chin up’ lasts when he is in our prison for two life terms and never sees the light of day again except looking out the bars on the window and any of the other prisoners get a hold of him for killing his baby and wife!
