F*** education. It’s a conspiracy.
Depends whose books you read. You can always write your own…

As a Brit living in Florida I cannot believe this was done by an American child. In correct American English each sentence would have each been proceeded with “like” for example “Like its obvious…”. Not to mention extensive use mid sentence such as in “…like some guy with like a bowl cut like had their ancestors like killed 700 years ago…”. This is an outragious slur of American youth!

That was an English exam, this is a history exam. Hitler wasn’t alive 700 years ago.
Plus; ‘papers over’ was missing an apostrophe; the comma before the ‘and’ was unnecessary; ‘did I not’ would probably have been a better way to end the piece; and the use of ‘that’ in the first and second sentences was a bit pleonastic.
However, I’m disappointed extra marks weren’t given for correctly pointing out that Hitler ‘had their ancestors killed’, rather than falling for the old trap of saying ‘Hitler killed their ancestors’. Which would’ve been something of a misrepresentation.

Our translatlantic cousins are so intransigent aren’t they?
A mark of zero for this piece of prose, when over here in the more liberal minded UK we have just awarded two marks to a candidate who wrote “Fuck Off!” as their answer on a GCSE paper.
One for having the wit to be able to write anything at all, and the other for correct use of punctuation.
