The food problem can be easily balanced if we look to The MAJOR culprits.
Not the average household but the large chain supermarkets and Hotel and Catering Industry.

If you had any idea how much good food is wasted every day in these industries, you would truly understand that they are THE main problem.

I know firsthand as a Pastry Chef and I’ve seen perfectly good food go to waste in many high class establishments.

The homeless could easily enjoy a banquet fit for a KING!

As for fuel who is the greater culprit the humble land vehicles or the Airline Industry?

Not to mention the extreme waste of fuel on scheduled flights with NO passengers!

Let’s not listen to the government until they put the FACTS into PERSPECTIVE!
Time for us to stop taking the guilt of screwed up polices on our shoulders.

P.S.
Don’t even get me started on the farming policy caused by government policy!
This is just the tip of the iceberg!

don’t throw it away it more! Get fat be a drain on the NHS, keep nurses employed so they can aford to keep buying food!

I find it a tad annoying that a government that is part of a policy of creating food mountains to keep prices high to pay farmers is now worried about e throwing away some food. Food that I cant get round to eating due to the need to work longer to pay for ir in the first place.

This is a can of worms they have opened. I do so hope the press will feast on them and not let any go to waste…
