Madeleine McCann: More Evidence, Tony Parsons Knows And Claims
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns win right to see key evidence about Madeleine’s disappearance held by police”
The parents of Madeleine McCann today won the right to see key documents held by police relating to her disappearance.
Won?
The McCanns had planned to take Leicestershire Police to the High Court but no case was heard as the force agreed to give them access to 81 pieces of information gathered as part of the investigation.
Progress? Elsewhere, in the same online article:
The couple, who are both 40, are not expected to attend today’s hearing in London before Mrs Justice Hogg…The hearing is scheduled to take place in the High Court’s family division, although it will be held in open court.
Such is the news.
DAILY MIRROR: “Portuguese police to rule out Madeleine McCann abduction theory”
Portuguese police have decided that Madeleine McCann could not have been abducted, it was claimed yesterday.
Claimed.
They believe the youngster died in her family’s rented holiday flat in Praia da Luz.
Believe.
The newspaper Correio da Manha said a 50-page report, handed to prosecutors last week, reveals “new and strong doubts” about Gerry and Kate McCanns’ claim that their daughter was snatched.
So says a report about a report in a Portuguese newspaper.
TONY PARSONS: A case of cruelty
It happens less and less these days, simply because the story of Madeleine McCann is slipping from the news.
But every time that little girl’s face appears on the TV screen, our five-year-old daughter looks up and says exactly the same five words: “Did they find Madeleine yet?”
That little girl, the one who disappeared.
Somebody knows something. Almost certainly more than one person knows something. It’s not enough to shrug and walk away.
The Mirror’s Lori Campbell didn’t shrug.

Great, whatever the outcoming will be,
the McCanns will spend the rest of their lives in “anguish and dispair” scared of Tapas 7.
In total, 7 life sentences.

Interesting but why didnt they just say she died from an accident as she did.
With all the tooing and froing that night no one could be sure, one of them wasnt there babysitting.
Its too innocent for such a cover up IMO.
Surely by now especially Kate would have gone mad and told all ??
As shes in the thick of it and hes scott free?
Morning BTW :-D!

My latest take, and complete conjecture
ROB went to do a round of checking.
He found Madeleine injured at the bottom of the stairs.
Being able to assess the situation he immediately took her
into the apartment and tried to revive her.
He failed.
In the process his trousers got stained and he had to change.
Because he was involved in the resuscitation he was immediately in the deep end.
I think the others in the group are not so much protecting Kate and Gerry but protecting Russell.
My theory for what it is worth.

Ah dearest Chenny, why do you have no problem in second guessing the sainted and learned Lady, and fuk the public interest, what about the interests of the one known as Madeleine.

Hi Coco
I wonder what the McCanns intend to do with the 81 pieces of information they now have?
My guess is they’ll pour over it for slights to their reputation - go on the defensive if they find any - or forget all about it if they don’t.

Good morning to you both.
Yes, who is the important witness! Someone knows something and may just have to divulge to save their skin.
Probably Maddie like you say, had an accident whilst drowsy with some sort of medication. When all said and done Kate did anesthesia and could Maddie have had a condition that clashed with the drugs. The PJ are adamant aren’t they, that Maddie died in the unit though. Imagine the panic when someone returned to check on the kids. Thinking of themselves of course, they flew into action to cover themselves. Hence Gerry ringing a newspaper first-then 45 mins later ringing the PJ.

And …….. How much time would it take for an ‘abductor to walk to the sea???????
July 8th, 2008 at 2:37 am
I need a WITNESS!
I need a witness with the importance of the WITNESS that Amaral wanted to interview in Portugal on the day he was sacked. PLEASE.
Just that one WITNESS for now.
The WITNESS that the Clan think Leicestershire police have on file. Well that WITNESS won’t be on file ….. yet!

I might as well start heavily drinking whilst the kids are in bed if nobody’s on tonight!
Loved CM’s line about being freed from arguido status ‘as has been widely reported!’
Who the fuck has widely reported this figment of his imagination then??? Certainly not the Portuguese - and it’s their bag, blue bag - give the dog a bone! These two dogs have should have a show of their own! I am an instintive poet!

Lyn, my guess is still that she was sedated. Perhaps an overdose, or perhaps an underdose and she wandered out and down the stairs. I am leaning towards the former, IMO and speculating of course.
July 8th, 2008 at 2:16 am
Good Morning Lyn!
I want to know who the IMPORTANT WITNESS was that Amaral was dragging out to Portugal - on the day he was sacked from his job!
This IMPORTANT WITNESS has never been interviewed to my knowledge …… VERY IMPORTANT WITNESS ………….
July 8th, 2008 at 2:07 am
The PJ are still holding to their belief that Maddie died in the unit. Perhaps someone went to check on the kids and found Maddie injured and panicked. Anything could have happened in that unit to that little girl! IMHO. I am not thinking about falling out of bed either or down the stairs!

This is music to my ears! I don’t feel as if I am the only one who was having misgivings about the Medici Twins!

Maddy Search By Email
Jul 7 2008
THE hunt for Madeleine McCann is set to to continue across Europe - by email.
Her aunt, Philomena McCann, says the move is needed to keep interest in the case going.
A chain email sent by Philomena, who lives in Ullapool, urges all recipients to take action.
It states: “Please read this message and forward it to everybody in your address book.”
The email again highlights the distinctive nature of the pupil in Madeleine’s right eye which has a line running through it.
She says Madeleine will also be taller and is now five years old.
Madeleine was three when she went missing from the family’s Algarve holiday flat on May 3 last year.
Meanwhile, Portuguese police have concluded Madeleine probably died in the Praia da Luz flat, although there’s no evidence her parents Kate and Gerry were involved, according to newspaper Correio da Manha.

“But I’m glad I went, since that was history in the making; I think unprecedented.”
Yes, I agree. I’ve read what you wrote about that. But I can’t help wondering what would have happened if the police hadn’t offered to hand them the 81 leads …..
This looks like a win-win situation.
Leads from the ‘early days’ [in case she really was abducted] could have been important [not sure if they still are after an year]. I think they trust LP but they’re not sure or even doubt about the Portuguese teams efforts to follow them up. Did they explain why or how these leads could help them?
And the LP didn’t offend their Portuguese collegues by disclosing information that’s part of the ’secrecy’ thing. Which makes me wonder if they’re going to release more information if the secrecy period ends? Did anybody say anything about that?
—————————————-
Nothing at all; you have to bear in mind that over here we have no disclosure of information during a criminal investigation.
The Portuguese secrecy thing is probably the least important aspect of the case from the Attorney General’s perspective; remember that the only person who ever claimed that was Clarrie.
And no, their Counsel said not a word about why they thought the 11,000 pieces of information would be useful.
I think there was a possible argument that info provided via the McCanns’ solicitor in the early stages would not be protected by our legislation. But I think it was a bone tossed to the McCanns rather than a considered decision that these 81 pieces would be helpful.
And no, this isn’t a win-win situation. The McCanns tried to use an order by a Judge to obtain information which they are not entitled to. The Judge was forced to admit in open Court that her original order was unlawful, and amend it one which is lawful.
That is pretty significant…

Right!
I’m off too. Still have to install 55 updates [and I've learned my lesson so it's one by one].
And no matter ‘who did it’ I do hope one day [the sooner the better] Madeleine is found and someone gets charged for taking her away from her parents and the twins whom she loved. And I like judge Hoggs for putting things as they should be: it’s all about ONE little person, Madeleine, and someone [a coward] committed a terribly cruel crime against her. He/she should come forward and confess what he/she did to her.
Alas, I bet chances of that happening are even smaller as finding Madeleine alive and well.

The McCanns told several times that Maddie asked Kate:”Why did you not come when…etc”
Their intention was obviously to say that the abductor was there, already the night before.
They could better have kept their mouth, if this have ever been said.
After this story, millions of people start commenting their irresponsibility again and again.
Even Clarrie had to explain it.
I don’t believe Maddie ever said that. And I believe the McCanns regret having told this story.
