Madeleine McCann: More Evidence, Tony Parsons Knows And Claims
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns win right to see key evidence about Madeleine’s disappearance held by police”
The parents of Madeleine McCann today won the right to see key documents held by police relating to her disappearance.
Won?
The McCanns had planned to take Leicestershire Police to the High Court but no case was heard as the force agreed to give them access to 81 pieces of information gathered as part of the investigation.
Progress? Elsewhere, in the same online article:
The couple, who are both 40, are not expected to attend today’s hearing in London before Mrs Justice Hogg…The hearing is scheduled to take place in the High Court’s family division, although it will be held in open court.
Such is the news.
DAILY MIRROR: “Portuguese police to rule out Madeleine McCann abduction theory”
Portuguese police have decided that Madeleine McCann could not have been abducted, it was claimed yesterday.
Claimed.
They believe the youngster died in her family’s rented holiday flat in Praia da Luz.
Believe.
The newspaper Correio da Manha said a 50-page report, handed to prosecutors last week, reveals “new and strong doubts” about Gerry and Kate McCanns’ claim that their daughter was snatched.
So says a report about a report in a Portuguese newspaper.
TONY PARSONS: A case of cruelty
It happens less and less these days, simply because the story of Madeleine McCann is slipping from the news.
But every time that little girl’s face appears on the TV screen, our five-year-old daughter looks up and says exactly the same five words: “Did they find Madeleine yet?”
That little girl, the one who disappeared.
Somebody knows something. Almost certainly more than one person knows something. It’s not enough to shrug and walk away.
The Mirror’s Lori Campbell didn’t shrug.

Yes, I’ve had a peek, thank you.
I seem to be the only person picking up on the fact that Justice Hogg was forced to vary her own order in open court with Counsel for the Leicestershire Police, SOCA and the Attorney General looking on.
In short she exceeded her powers in the first place, and the McCanns tried to take advantage of that fact.
Presumably she avoided humble pie for lunch…

This morning there was a thread I was enjoying, full of facts, speculation and opinion.
I came back to see how it had been updated only to find the same lonely people who have nothing to say on the topic - only in-jokes between themselves - why not go to a chatroom. The first guy was inordinately pleased to get his non comment and subsequent non comments before anyone else - forgotten his name cos he had nothing else to say - something like solitary vermin-anyway, all have a lovely afternoon
Good one clive! very good. You said a lot there. Well done and have a house point!

One more for Spaghetti- Justice.
Suspects that legally obtain evidence…while they never searched and openly neglected their Children — with DNA in their car-boot.
Hogg is on edge…lol for if I don’t laugh I’d cry!
What are illegal causes of death? Can we have a court to obtain the list please?

I wonder what this discussion board would be talking about if we had a alternative situation:
If Madeleine had gone missing in say - Ivory Coast or Angola - and the McCanns had been put in jail without trial or recourse to defence - or assistance (meaningful) from the UK FO - I know it sounds appealing but …… would the country be baying at UN for their release ?
Mods and Admin
AF, Baby sitters cost even less there than in Portugal…..
But the McC are NOT in jail are they?
Try to keep it to one parallel.
Given the climate there also would doctors take tiny fairhaired fair skinned children there?

Exactly what I said BF, you antis are claiming some sort of victory,
If anyone has claimed something of a victory today it is you gandolf. You’re the one that has come on here bleating victory. Noone on here claimed anythign other than the facts. You are the one who has fabricated words and claimed things that are not factual. It seems to be quite an ongoing theme this. Is it because you dont actually have any facts that you have to try and spin everything to look like you actually have something worth arguing about because I don’t think I’ve seen one post of yours with any facts in it at all. Mind you, your you tube posts are good so don’t go anywhere!

Well, yes, but perhaps more significantly it is yet another example of just how misleading Clarrie’s claims to the Press are.
He span it as all those nasty Portuguese pj’s fault in stopping the Leicestershire police from handing over their files, but you don’t get SOCA and the Attorney General weighing in with the police to force a Judge to amend her own order in public just because those nasty pj people.
They did it because the Judge’s order was clearly detrimental to the public interest.
The Mccanns weren’t asking the police, they were trying to force them by using the Judges order they obtained way back in the mists of time.

well I suppose I were to demand my husband hand over all his wages, and all I got was 81p a month I would consider that a failure if I had to accept and back down and accept!

June Johnston, you have no idea what I am eager for, but Justice for Madeleine McCann would be a good start. Or perhaps you also think that Madeleine’s parents are not subject to the normal process of law. If you don’t like them or how they act tough, no court should convict anyone because the public don’t like them, I always like to see people convicted on solid evidence, which in this case appears to be sadly lacking.
Gandulphe
Firstly the fact you misspelt my name is worrying, you cannot see what is actually written?
The McCanns are not actually on trial here, but why do they need a PR, if they couldn’t run to a babysitter its strange all of a sudden?
BUT WHO LEFT MADELEINE AND HER SIBLINGS ALONE?
was it her parents? was it a nanny was it a babysitter? whoever left them alone is guilty of neglect
And if you or Justice have a hard time dealing with that , then this world is in trouble.
I know the Mcc cannot see the error of their ways but the daughter missing might give them a bit of a clue.
Or is the PJ the nominated blame to absolve the wonderful wonderful do no wrong McC
NO!
