Come on, Anorak; this petty carping about the fact that, unless it’s a very, very, very small stadium, none of the spectators will actually be able to see the competitors, is just tall poppy syndrome!
I myself have written to the organisers, pointing out that the relay batons can be easily modified by the addition of a torch on one end, and issued to all competitors regardless of whether they are taking part in a relay.
I appreciate that there might be one or two technical problems with the water sports, but nothing that cannot be resolved by whenever it is…

Ok a number 8 down in our local Chinese takeaway is ChowMein dedum, wonder what 8 is in Beijing, or even if 8 is eight or something totally different, oh bloody hell 8 is their lucky number, shall I go through it all again with No 4, which is Prawn……..
