MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY STAR: “MCCANNS’ OPRAH WINDFALL”
MADELEINE McCann’s parents are planning a big bucks interview with US chatshow queen Oprah Winfrey to boost their search fund.
They’ve cracked America. In yer face Barbara Walters.
It is understood Oprah, 54, would be willing to break the bank for a cosy chat with Kate and Gerry.
How the Star came to understand this is unsaid. But let’s look out for the “cosy chat” - the one performed before tens of millions of people. Who’s looking for the missing child? We’re watching the parents.

Duncan
Naturally, Melvyn inherits his ample girth from his generously-proportioned mother and his love of mud from his father.

Brandon, re 326, was that to me?
July 10th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
Nosey - sadly PC repair is right at the bottom of the list of things to do, so for now I am limited to one hour at a time (unless I use one of the Smuddlets’ cards to get an extra hour - maybe tomorrow). Anyway, I’m getting kittens tomorrow!!! Ronnie and Reggie the ginger twins!

Brandon, on or in?
July 10th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
Hi Darling DuncanR (since we’re flinging the endearments!)
I gather that Saul has broken into an anxious trot in the opposite direction lest the question of paternity should rear its ugly head even further… tell him I’ve put together my outfit for our TV “discussion” and I’m going for something snug!

Once again you’ve baffled me with your BS on what you just said - what are you saying?
—————————–
Cheryl, may I suggest that you try reading the post. It’s really not very hard. You are, presumably, aware that the DA in question was the one who made a complete fool of herself the last time she got involved in the Jonbenet Ramsey case. You can’t be so ignorant about the case that you don’t even know that, surely?
Remember?
‘Ms. Lacy is facing a storm of criticism from scores of local residents who have been calling her and sending her e-mail messages to tell her she should be “tarred and feathered.” Gov. Bill Owens, a Republican, said that she should be “held responsible for the most expensive DNA test in Colorado history.”
Even you can’t have forgotten John M. Karr…
The media haven’t because they also were made to look fools, having fallen for Ms Lacy’s distinctly over spun story.
You really cannot expect me to ignore all of that; I have no reason to believe that she is any more accurate this time than she was the last time around.
As for the connection with the Brooke Bennett case, I would have thought that was obvious.
Which bit of:
‘Prosecutors have also accused Jacques of planting evidence in an effort to misdirect the police investigation into Bennett’s disappearance. Torn underwear, a shoe and other items of clothing discovered near Route 65 in Brookfield had been placed there by Jacques, police say.
At least one of the items was stained with the semen of a juvenile boy. But authorities say Jacques instructed his juvenile accomplice to obtain the DNA evidence during a sexual encounter sometime before Bennett disappeared. Jacques then contaminated Bennett’s clothing with the sample, authorities say, to deflect police attention directed toward him.’
are you having difficulty in understanding?
You are claiming that the presence of dna from an unidentified person proves that the crime was committed by that unidentified person.
It doesn’t.
It could have been planted, just as Brooke Bennett’s uncle planted DNA, in the hope of diverting suspicion from himself…

Just curious, mind - but which side of the family does Melvin take after?

Hi Gorgeous!
Saul says ‘hello’ too.
Unfortunately he can’t be with us at the moment. There are some people (researchers from the Jeremy Kyle Show ?) he is trying to avoid - something to do with DNA samples?

It may, one day, dawn on Cheryl that someone claiming that something is so does not constitute evidence that something is so.
For that you need hard facts…

Kettle Black Pot! Makes me smile from The Queen of Spin and Rudeness who also has a tendency to call everyone who disagrees with her regal take (including High Court Judges): liars / dishonest / deceivers etc etc. Irony at its best!

Well said, C&C! Over here we have a saying for someone like Chenier - they can dazzle you with their brilliance or baffle you with their bull shit. Thus far she has left me nothing but baffled by what she pontificates on.

Mel can you change sex and animal?
July 10th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
I have just popped in with news of Melvyn, my surprise love-calf. He’s proving to be a bit of handful but perhaps it’s just because I’m so out of practice. For a while I was convinced he was a calf-prodigy with language skills far beyond his tender years; I was certain he once said “What about a waterbottle, Willoughby?” until I realised that it is a very long time since I even set eyes on another hippopotamus, let alone heard one fart under water.

….Further, if you’d read the Post I did post it was mentioned in it that they have found that many have been released right away when the perpetrator realized the Amber Alert was put out…
———————————————
Sadly, Cheryl was unable to find any evidence to support this claim, just as she was unable to find any evidence to support her claim that the Amber Alert had led to the police cracking the Brooke Bennett case.
Quite the reverse, in fact…
It may, one day, dawn on Cheryl that someone claiming that something is so does not constitute evidence that something is so.
For that you need hard facts…
