Football Referee Too Drunk To Whistle
TO a Belarusian Premier League match between FC Naftan and FC Vitebsk.
The half-time whistle blows and FIFA appointed referee Sergey Shmolik heads to his room for a restorative.
The second half gets underway and Shmolik is drunk.
The referee spent most of the second period in the centre circle, directing the game with meaningless gestures and strange whistle-blows.
Shmolik has been suspended from refereeing and is scheduled to face a hearing at the Belarusian FA later this week.
This, of course, could never occur in the English Premier League, where refereeing is but a stepping stone to a media career…

Back when I first moved to the USA I coached a childrens soccer team (8 year olds)
The kids were great but I could have used a stiff drink to face their parents on match days.
Occasionally I actually felt sorry for the ref, not often though

I used to be totally dispassionate (yep really) until said ref didn’t give a certain team a DEFINATE penalty, and blew the whistle for half time just BEFORE that team took a corner kick
Suffice to say that the result of that particular match was ALL Mr Nosey’s fault!!!
Of course I only have mr nosey’s word for it that this is who is ex wife is ( might even be ‘was’ now ) married to (but he has been consistant in this veiw for many a year)

Mr Nosey’s ex wife is married to a premiership ref. Mr Nosey is convinced that he must be p****d just to get through the day.

The school hockey team was well-known as a smoker’s paradise. The netball team were far too stuck-up to tolerate such bodily abuse like that…

What’s the big deal?
When I was a lad, playing footie for the under 11 school team, a swift half and a fag at half time was the norm!

When I used to play I often suspected the ref might be drunk, or blind, on drugs, insane, retarded, biased, or just plain evil.
Or maybe I was biased?
