Norah, sister of Kate’s dad, said after waving off the McCanns: “They had a lovely time, very relaxing. It was all about them getting away. They really enjoyed being away from the spotlight. We spent a lot of time at the beach. The beaches here are beautiful.”

I find all this ‘if you could be bothered… malarkey quite tiresome-It’s not that we can’t be bothered-it’s just that we haven’t time, or we have other things to do like get some fresh air….I appreciate the background knowledge you have Chenier, but -IMO-that it comes across as a tad patronizing on times.
Is it really necessary? i don’t think people want to fight with you. I think it could alienate people. no offence intended.

But I’m not a PR person.
If someone says something, claiming specialist knowledge, which I know to be nonsense, then why should I accept it?
Why should I let others be deceived by that claim?
The truth isn’t something which is decided by people voting on it.

And anyway, “background knowledge” gleaned from websites isn’t usually thorough and does NOT necessarily lead to correct interpretation. The INTERNET is responsible for so many tin-pot, self-made “experts” who actually don’t understand what they’re talking about.
Fortunately Justice Hogg won’t have to rely on it too much, though! Properly qualified and very experienced.

aha Chenier… twisting words to suit your own agenda as is your usual want! Naturally SOCA is interested in cocaine smuggling, money laundering, organised crime, industrial espionage et al but in the case of the McCanns SOCAs involvement is because of the possibility of child trafficking.

And you still can’t find anything to support what you say about SOCA from SOCA itself, can you? Ancient press releases from before SOCA even existed are the best you can manage.
So, one more time, the only entry on the SOCA website mentioning trafficking is this:

Just as there is nothing on the CHEOPs site remotely near the Mccann case; what Jim Gamble says is that it tackles:
‘the trafficking of children in the UK’.
It seems to me that you are so obsessed with this that you have lost the ability to understand simple words like ‘in’ and even slightly harder words like ‘immigration’….

It also emerged that Mr Murat was first reported to police three days after Madeleine disappeared by a Portuguese citizen who had met him at the crime scene. The informer spent the day with Mr Murat on Saturday and went to police on Sunday morning to make a full-page written statement, which he signed.
A day later two British journalists passed on Mr Murat’s details.
