Madeleine McCann: The People Analyses The McCanns’ Holiday
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE PEOPLE: “WISH SHE WAS HERE”
EXCLUSIVE Maddie in parents’ hearts as they take the twins on first break without her. Moving pictures of holiday brave McCann family thought would be impossible to bear
The People has no little power and can look into the minds of the MCCanns and actually see what they are thinking.
For Kate and Gerry their three week trip to Canada could hardly be anything but a painful reminder of what happened in Praia da Luz in May last year. And Maddie did not leave their minds for a moment.
Fact.
Not for them the excitement and anticipation of other holidaymakers.
Fact.
Not for them the promise of time free from the stresses of workaday life.
Fact.
Norah, sister of Kate’s dad, said after waving off the McCanns: “They had a lovely time, very relaxing. It was all about them getting away. They really enjoyed being away from the spotlight. We spent a lot of time at the beach. The beaches here are beautiful.”
Fact.

I must go to sleep also; I will leave you with one totally speculative thought.
There are organisations which would pay a great deal of money to know how SOCA operates, and where it operates, and who is involved. As SOCA itself says on its website:
‘SOCA will maintain a large network of overseas officers. We do not provide details of where they are located or their work for security reasons.’
Good night, all…

Agent Obama, I’m sure you are right, I heard Canada.
Agent Billy Tallon, can you confirm that the kidnapping of the little girl was in Canada?

Chenier - the credit crunch can affect even the greatest of double glazers!! Maybe Kennedy can no longer afford Clarrie - after all, I doubt they expected the McSituation to drag on so long - I recon he go the old heave-ho!

Hey Chenier - Its everyone for themselves in the Mccamp - the whole bloody lot is sinking - not just the ship. Brother McCann will be applying to Glaxo for a post soon - maybe he can advise on medicine for verbal diarreah
—————————-
But being serious for one brief moment, Clarrie is supposed to work for Kennedy of double glazing fame, and has merely been lent out to the McCanns to assist them in their time of trouble.
Yet now he’s setting up shop as a ‘Mislaid your children? No problem!’ full service agency?
Were it not for the fact that I read it in the Telegraph- I check even you, dear annie1- I would assume it was Coco…

‘“I should stress, however, that there’s absolutely no question of me abandoning Kate and Gerry McCann.”
Oh, absolutely not.
Rats, sinking ship, Clarence Mitchell.
Ketchup.
No, forget the Ketchup.
What happened to the working for Kennedy?
I know that SOCA are very chummy with the Spanish police because of the Costa Crooks initiative, or Operation Captura as it is more politely called, but are they so miffed that Clarrie has been handed his P45?
We should be trolled!
Or, perhaps more probably, that is why we have been trolled…

As Kate and Gerry McCann return from their first family holiday since their daughter Madeleine disappeared 14 months ago, their spokesman Clarence Mitchell is in talks to join a PR agency where he plans to help other parents who have lost children to deal with the media.
The former BBC reporter, has already advised the parents of Jimmy Mizen, the 16-year-old schoolboy murdered in London in May, and Fiona MacKeown, the mother of 15-year-old Scarlett Keeling, who was murdered in Goa in February.
Thus far Mitchell has assisted on a pro bono basis, but, as the requests for his expertise mount up, he is mulling his options.
“I’m happy to help anyone in the eye of a media storm, but I need to put myself on a firm financial footing,” he says.
Yea right!!!

We’ve had the Bodega tonight. In a half mile by half mile of twisted medieval streets, we’ve had four marching bands, a samba garage band, three live bands with electric amplifiers, a disco, and four of the cafe’s have live bands inside - the noise has to be heard to be believed!
Lorries have been pulling up outside our house unloading beer and wine into the rugby club for two days now, there must be close on 10,000 people in the village right now - and fireworks going off as I speak - but I haven’t heard one voice raised in anger, nor seen a single drunk, just young kids and adults following the bands through the streets, singing whistling, clapping and cheering at the top of their voices. Great fun.
There are pigs being roasted over huge fires, moules and frites on every corner, lines of women making crepes as fast as they can, and a huge pit of boiling oil churning out frites without so much as a barrier round it - eat your heart out health and safety!
And you know, seven o’clock tomorrow morning, all those strapping rugby players will be out on their hands and knees plucking every last cigarette end out of every last window box and ensuring that no-one has anything to complain about……..they’ll even steam clean the streets (mind you, they have to - you know it is every Frenchman’s right to pee in the nearest doorway…..and several thousand of them…..yuk!)
