SAYS Home Secretary Jacqui Smith:
“The public are the best weapon for fighting crime. By rolling out up-to-date, interactive crime maps we can better inform people about crime problems in their area and enable them to have much more of a say in what their local police focus on. This will help increase public confidence in the police and make communities safer.”
What are the police focusing on if they are not focusing on crime? How will knowing where crime has been committed “make communities safer” without making some communities feel less safe?
And if you were a criminal, where would you go to:
a) The higher crime zone the police are heading to?
b) The lower crime zone the police are heading from?
By the end of the year every police force area will produce crime maps which will allow the public to:
* see where and when crime has happened, down to street level for some crimes;
* make comparisons with other areas; and
* learn how crime is being tackled by their local neighbourhood policing team.
If you see a freshly mugged estate agent dragging himself from one area to another, don’t help him – he’s on mission to keep property prices high…

SMITH IS A FUCKING WALKING CRIME HERSELF!
Who allows that woman out dressed the way she does?
Is she emulating Prescott with her fashion-sense? Get the Fashion-Police?
I fucking told her years ago that crime is a local and localised issue - nothing to be generalised over! Did she fucking listen? Did she fuck!
I could police this tiny island with my fucking eyes shut! Bring back Dixon of Dock Green with a fire-arm and a Taser! That will teach them a fucking lesson!
I told Smith to SWAP the Police for the Army and she would have a much more suitable force on the streets.
Did she fucking listen?
Yet - David Blunkett has allegedly demanded that the Army were to hot-foot it to a prison riot!
If the Army’s good enough for a Cabinet Minister - it’s good enough for me and my family!

They could be useful in planning your walk home from the bus stop!

So much talent, so cruelly wasted; if only she’d managed to get that job placement with Billy Connolly…

Agree. They are beyond parody. Smith is a comic genius…

I wish to nominate Interactive Crime Maps for the ‘Beyond Parody’ category in the Inter-Galactic All Comer’s Championship, arriving soon at a planet near you.
I think we can be quietly confident that Earth is onto a winner here…
