Sure! The link was posted in the interest of being concise.
Although turtles and frogs may not touch the heart
of every animal lover, Tesco’s treatment
of these animals in China has met with disbelief, indignation and stiff opposition. Tesco either butchers these animals for food in store or sells them alive to be slaughtered at home. British charity Care for the Wild International supported by leading chelonian veterinarian and biologist have asked to stop Tesco selling live turtles for food in China on conservation and animal welfare grounds. Recently new evidence again provides disturbing proof that Tesco skins and dismembers animals alive in its Chinese outlets. By doing Tesco turns its back on animal welfare and its own corporate responsibilities.

Thanks!
I'm pretty sure that Om would not be pleased...

I'm saving T Pratchett for some future time when I'm confined to bed for six months at a stretch, unable to do anything but read. I suspect that I'll like his books so much I won't be able to stop once I start. Anyone who gets raves from A S Byatt deserves the attention.

I don't see how I was being genderist, but perhaps that's an in-joke here. I'm just a pedant who was pointing out that the original blogger had Ms Pelling's gender wrong. Which was ironic when they were picking up and error of hers. I can add an "I'm a big, fuck-off feminist" flag to my post if that helps. Because I am.

And I am good humouredly pointing out that Nakroa is spoken of with awe for his take-no-prisoners approach to spelling wherever dyslexics are gathered together; we are hoping to enter him in the upcoming Galactic Spelling Bee, and would appreciate it if you would stop nobbling the favourite for the Wooden Spoon.

Rowan Pelling is a she.

How wonderful it is to do a blog, and show how you check everything with a prelimary Google beforehand.

M&A
Artemis
That's a very genderist observation, if I may say so.
Surely the writing is what matters, not the author?
