Police Log: Robbers Robbed And OCD Victim Gets Clean Away
POLICE LOG: Crime in the news…
A woman has been let off her community service order imposed for handling a stolen mobile phone because of her obsession with cleanliness.
Llandudno magistrates’ court heard that 18-year-old Emma McNicholas was worried about working in a charity shop because of second hand property. North Wales probation service accepted she had obsessive compulsive disorder.
District judge David Webster was told there was no other work available that would not involve cleanliness issues.Defence solicitor Chris Dawson said she had failed to pick up litter previously because of her situation.
Robbers who stole diamonds valued at £217,000 from a jeweller’s shop were foiled by shoppers who removed the keys from their getaway car.
When the three men, clad in balaclavas and armed with sledgehammers, emerged from the shop, one shouted: “Someone’s nicked the keys to our ride – run for it!”
With their escape plans undermined, Jamie Evans, 34, Aaron Stilwell, 26, and Stephen Lidell, 23, were caught by police. They were jailed after admitting the robbery in Lewes, East Sussex.

I thought the idea of punishment was that it was SUPPOSED to be unpleasant (ah, silly me!) - and working in a charity shop is hardly what most of us would call punishment anyway!!!
little scrubber should get an Oscar for that performance…

If this thieving toerag has OCD related to cleanliness. Then surely picking up litter, or scrubbing public toilets would be a natural for her?
Think of the effort she’d put in.
