With regard to the sighting in a bank in Belgium, I hope this wasn’t the poor Berber woman with a blonde child who was investigated in Morocco last year - perhaps she is having her first holiday abroad! And has anyone else noticed that at least two people who have seen what they thought was Madeleine have said she was dancing? One witness who said the little girl danced to the music she was playing on her mobile phone, and the other who said she had to be told to stop dancing all over a tram? Would a little girl who had been abducted in the middle of the night and taken to live with other people in a different country be happy enough to dance, one wonders.

So which is it ? How do we reconcile those positions. Doesn’t Clarrie speak for the McCs ?

Though, thinking about it, the sighting could be incredible in terms of finding MM, but also invaluable to the McCs in keeping the fund going and keeping people from asking the difficult questions about what happened on the night in question.

It was going great till around 1am when No1 son threw up all over the tent , so after cleaning it up i bought him home for a bath, cup of tea and quiet night in his own bed (any excuse- hey!! ).

The process of the so-called ‘Case Maddie” was released to the public on Monday. On that day, a new era in the connection between the Portuguese justice and the public started. Journalists from around the world jumped onto the thousands of pages looking for secrets as the key to unravel a mystery. Only a few hours were necessary for the brightest minds to discover what in 14 months a large team of Portuguese and British researchers and experts had not found.

There was an overflowing of leads and sightings - all credible and despised by the police, of course. It is the most basic common sense that the whole process needs to be read and read again to get a full and serene understanding. The criticism, if it is necessary, should arrive later on, to avoid the sensationalism that in the past victimized us (us, the unaware citizens). The right to inform is not the right to speculate. And that is not what we expect from our journalists, which for the sake of truth we must say, always knew how to differentiate themselves from the British journalists. No reason to lose it now. Justice thanks the citizens - and, let us not forget about the child that on May 3, 2007 disappeared.
