I SOMETIMES wonder if The Truth is all it’s cracked up to be. I wonder if there are times when NOT knowing is better than knowing.
Well, as Donald Rumsfeld once said, from whom Malone seems to be quoting…
Because now we think we know Madeleine McCann didn’t die, as police suspected, in her holiday apartment. Neither was she taken by an opportunist killer. Nor did she wander off into the sea.
Sure of that? Yeah, Sure of it. Positive. Sure of it? Facts are facts. Right? Facts…
However, what we now think may have happened is worse than all of those scenarios because it looks certain this angel-faced little girl was snatched to order by a vile paedophile ring and delivered to people who hunt down pretty children to degrade. Maybe even kill.
And we know this because..? Well, someone said something…it got in an email to someone else…Carole read it or heard it and it became news… and fact…and we read about it… and we told someone… and they told Carole…who knows all about it…
What kind of images are going through your mind at this minute as to the fate of this little mite?

And if I can’t bear to think about what might have happened to her after she was “delivered” to those perverts I can’t imagine how Kate and Gerry can close their eyes at night without the horror of it exploding inside their heads.

Yeah, we know what “MIGHT” have heppned. Such are the facts…
I never really understood what the phrase “Fate Worse Than Death” actually meant. Now I think I might.

Dreadful though the thought is, is it time to hope that Madeleine McCann died the night she disappeared?
Wishing death upon a child?
Anything seems preferable to the explanation that she was abducted by a paedophile ring, and is perhaps still suffering. That it was always unlikely that some childless couple just fancied a little British girl, and all this time Madeleine has been enjoying ice cream and piano lessons. In their heart of hearts, the British public probably considered all this the moment Madeleine disappeared…
Barbara heard about the paedos… from someone, maybe it was in the Sunday Mirror…she told us…we told you…you told a friend… who knows Barabara…who knows all about it…
In the grand scheme of things, all this may seem harmless PR padding, but it isn’t. The result is that ‘Maddie-sightings’ are going to end up having the same ring of authority as your bog-standard UFO, Elvis, or Lord Lucan spottings.
And no-one has seen either of them since Madeleine went missing. Interesting…
By the same token, last week’s sensational spin on what most of us guessed anyway, has given the case a dramatic unhelpful ‘Maddie: the sequel’ feel. A background hum of just wanting to keep the story going - to keep selling and exploiting as long as possible.

Geraldine Niland’s report in the Irish Independent contains the following factual inaccuracy:
“One fact which rested in the shadows throughout was the fact the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz did not offer a babysitting service, but rather a baby-listening service which involved staff members checking children by listening at the door every half hour.
Full care meant that the children had to be taken to the creche. So in fact, the McCanns had initiated their own monitoring system based on that operated by the Ocean Club”.
The apartment occupied by Madeleine’s parents was outside the Ocean Club complex (whereas the Tapas Bar was inside that complex). I understand that Mark Warner do NOT offer ‘baby-listening’ in Praia da Luz as they do not consider it safe to do so.
Instead a creche OR baby-sitting service is available, neither of which Madeleine’s parents chose to use.
Has Ms Niland actually read the contents of the PJs files, or is she relying on inaccurate information provided by others?
Let us hope Ms Niland will print a correction.
Alternatively the Irish Independent may wish to allow Mark Warner Holidays the courtesy of explaining exactly why the ‘childcare arrangements’ favoured by Madeleine’s parents were most emphatically NOT ‘based on that operated by the Ocean Club’.
The company do not operate ‘baby-listening’ in Praia da Luz, because they consider it would not be safe to do so. For Ms Niland to suggest otherwise is therefore regrettable.

strange picture isn’t it. why do they blank out diana webster pictures i wonder, there’s none been printed sofar as far as i know and on that picture its not asssociated with a better picture of her as the others are. the children look older than i expected too.

Don”t know which photos you are referring to, but there were 7 children between
them as far as I remember:-
McCanns 3, Payne 1, Oldfield 1, O”Brien/Tanner 2 (one was 10months old)
Is this the last day when Madeleine went to the beach with the Nannie and other
children from the creche.

This CCTV shot of Paraiso resto on the beach on May 3:
I seem to count 6 kids, whereas there should be only 5…
The Tapas9 had 8 kids amongst them, 3 of which were McCann’s.
I name them by what they’re supposed to be on the NOTW still:
Payne 1, O’Brien 1, in chair-stools 2, Tanner/Webster 1 and pushchair next to Tanner 1, makes 6
Are there any other photos or CCTV stills published meanwhile?

On second thoughts that sentence needs a bit more work.
However, it’s all the offspring’s fault; ever since she sent me the piccies of the International Hot Dog Eating Competition at Coney island it’s been a mad ambition to show that we Brits have what it takes at the sharp end!

A ccording to the timelines, David Payne was sked to check on Kate at 6.30pm,
the Nannie having reported that the children were collected at 6pm. DP reported
that Kate was bathing the children. The McCanns have said on record that their children were in bed by 7.30pm, by which time they would have showered themselves and had a drink before they walked to the Tapas bar at 8.30pm.. As I have said
before, the witness statements will be very important IMO

According to Amaral’s book, Gerry said that David Payne stayed at the apartment seeing Kate and the kids for about 30 minutes.
And that Kate said he stayed for 30 seconds.
Anyway, it had to do with 30.

I’m not familiar with L C’s work while ‘intoxicated’ so I’m not sure that I can comment.
Perhaps she didn’t ’storm out’ perhaps she ‘crept out’, if, say, she was meeting someone then she wouldn’t want to wake hubby now would she?
