MOST sightings of missing Madeleine McCann seem to involve Belgium and a paedophile ‘ring’ which might have kidnapped the child ‘to order’. Belgian police received more than 100 sightings, 30 of which required checking.

But the latest - by British businessman Trevor Francis, 64 - was on the Venezuelan island of Margarita. Nursing home owner Francis, who keeps a yacht there, says a girl he thinks was ‘Madeleine’ came into a restaurant with three women - all of Latin origin - and had the telltale blemish in her right eye.
He did.
In one sighting, the girl involved said she was ‘Maddie’ and had been taken from her mother. Yet the McCanns say Madeleine was never known as ‘Maddie’ to them. It’s an abbreviation devised by newspapers so the name will fit headlines.

Scared, yes, but whether it is just of being sued I don’t know. If they quoted directly from police reports, how could they be sued? They’re keeping somebody happy, that’s for sure, but it is debatable who and why. But from their point of view, sensationalist headlines sell newspapers, whether they are true or not.

It was a ground floor apartment. It was night time. The back door was unlocked. It was next to a creepy pathway. No one saw Madeleine for an hour.
If parents did that all the time then the statistics for children abducted from their beds would be far higher - paedos go where it’s easy to get kids.

When a child goes missing in this country do the police set up road blocks right away? Do they close all the ports and airports in case the child is taken out of the country? No.
Most missing children turn up within hours - the unlucky few who have been snatched by strangers for sexual gratification are rarely recovered alive and well.
She is more likely to have been abducted by someone who lived or worked nearby - maybe another holidaymaker or MW employee - maybe even someone known to her in some way - and probably disposed of within a short distance of the resort.
Why concentrate on the least likely scenario?

You are right, Ade, they were neglectful just like many hundreds of others over there and here and other countries who feel it is safe to leave their children in a room or at home while a somewhat short distance away. What happened with them was their child was taken. You can bet your arse, Ade, there are hundreds of people out there who went weak with the thought that could have been them when they left their children alone!
You aren’t the only one in this world who find this ‘great fun’, Ade, loads of weirdos throughout this world who thrive on seeing others in pain - whether emotional or physical!
