MOST sightings of missing Madeleine McCann seem to involve Belgium and a paedophile ‘ring’ which might have kidnapped the child ‘to order’. Belgian police received more than 100 sightings, 30 of which required checking.

But the latest - by British businessman Trevor Francis, 64 - was on the Venezuelan island of Margarita. Nursing home owner Francis, who keeps a yacht there, says a girl he thinks was ‘Madeleine’ came into a restaurant with three women - all of Latin origin - and had the telltale blemish in her right eye.
He did.
In one sighting, the girl involved said she was ‘Maddie’ and had been taken from her mother. Yet the McCanns say Madeleine was never known as ‘Maddie’ to them. It’s an abbreviation devised by newspapers so the name will fit headlines.

Hi Star- Posting from the U.S., also following the case of the missing 3 year old, Caylee Marie Anthony from Florida.
One interesting similarity-
Both girls disappeared following a separation between the caretakers.
In Caylee’s case, Caylee’s grandparents were co-parents with Caylee’s 22 year old mother (the father is dead). Caylee’s grandmother has explained that, right before the disappearance, Caylee’s mother said she felt a need to take Caylee away from her home in order to create a stronger bond with her. So off she went with no money to start a new life but before it got off the ground, Caylee disappeared. The grandfather is a career police officer.
In Madeleine’s case, the parents had a fight - Madeleine’s mother has stated to police that she felt she wasn’t getting enough attention from Madeleine’s father so she slept in a different bed the night before Madeleine vanished. The parents are doctors.
Yeah, I agree with the Anthony’s lawyer that the two cases are similar.

wot i find very suspicious is how far the m’s will go to try and make us believe they are not invovled. they may think we’re stupid but trying to throw us all off the scent by claiming they want the case ropened by the pj i find unbelievable.

The safest, best way of providing scent is via worn clothes. But perhaps everything had been washed already?

I don’t know about that - why wouldn’t she have a separate towel for each? Most children do have their favourite towels and I’m sure she would have had one for each child separately. Think that through, please. You use ONE towel to dry 3 children? Drying one child gets a towel damp can you imagine how wet after 3 uses in row? Nope, sorry most mothers I would think have separate towels for each child and adult! I always did take towels for each child and adult on vacations and do that at home - we all have our own separate bath towels, face clothes and hand towels!
Was it 5 days? I didn’t see that. Okay, if she had brought their own towels then I’d say it hadn’t been washed even at 5 days. I would think they asked for a towel instead of a piece of clothing.
