MOST sightings of missing Madeleine McCann seem to involve Belgium and a paedophile ‘ring’ which might have kidnapped the child ‘to order’. Belgian police received more than 100 sightings, 30 of which required checking.

But the latest - by British businessman Trevor Francis, 64 - was on the Venezuelan island of Margarita. Nursing home owner Francis, who keeps a yacht there, says a girl he thinks was ‘Madeleine’ came into a restaurant with three women - all of Latin origin - and had the telltale blemish in her right eye.
He did.
In one sighting, the girl involved said she was ‘Maddie’ and had been taken from her mother. Yet the McCanns say Madeleine was never known as ‘Maddie’ to them. It’s an abbreviation devised by newspapers so the name will fit headlines.

I don’t think nor thought for a second when the story first broke they had anything to do with the actual disappearance of their child. I stand firm on that - you have to analyze it, look at it from all sides, possibilities, and study the parents, etc. - they DID NOT have anything to do with it, Chatelaine. Take it one step further - turn your mind into a criminal’s mind, think like one … now plan in your mind exactly how you would have taken that child …

Have you got kids ? now tell me if your child should do something wrong would you not do anything to protect him/her ? Would you answer all questions, you would if your child ‘vanished/ or would you be scared ? The answer lies in that photograph of the Tapas 7/8.

Come off it, Portia, the only similarity in the two cases is a little girl is missing! PERIOD! Go look on a missing children’s site and you’ll see many girls missing - little and big.

I - like any one else on this site do not know what happened - all we do know is that it as not been like any other ‘missing person’ case - with money & politics becoming so heavily involved !! What is happening on the Diplomatic level between Portugal & ritain at present because these people just will not co-operate and answer a few questions.
i agree. the mccanns are very selfish and who knows this could end up like Russia AND Georgia. I just hope it doesn’t get out of hand and it costs peoples lives

Hi Jo- I just want to say that I appreciate your posts and especially your strong sense of justice.
While I agree with your disgust at the paedo stories, I do see that the British media is in a quandary. How can they report the evidence in the file that points to the parent’s involvement when the child is still missing and there are no other suspects?
The PJ dropped them in the mud. They are embarrassed. So the British press tries to comfort them with the paedo stories. I’ll bet they aren’t consoled.

I think with regard to the statement ‘We will see a lot more of these cases !’ - These cases are occurring all the time - Its just how the Parents play the Press aas to how much we actually hear about them.
Childrn are being abducted (Genuinely) all the time - but f it happens that the family is of ethnic origin - I am afraid that story does not make Press.
Unless of course the body turns up in pieces and the Scotland Yard Tec’s travel to Africa - there cannot have been much goin on in Britain at that time - Perhaps Thatcher had a hold on the Press.

And I think they have not proven an abduction - But there is some evidence of an event that is suspicious and requires some explanation.
A body is relatively easy to conceal / dispose of if you are adjacent to a beach - As per Gerry’s comment (allegedly) ‘Show us the body ? - I believe in a Portugese TV INterview not widely broadcast.
Oh - It is infuriating !!
