Gimme a break. Does anyone actually buy it? 

Cheapest trick in the rhetorical book. Claim something came from your object of attack, then "don't remember" exactly where the "quote" came from. Sleazy at best, self-defeating at worst.  Everybody who's not drooling on their own shirts know the "oven" reference would never be seen within 1000 miles of anything officially Obama.  Or McCain. Or even Paul.</description>
