“They must cling to any hope. But some of the latest rash of ‘sightings’ are based on thin detail.”
The ice-cream was chocolate.
“Sadly, the Maddie tragedy is attracting its fair-share of attention seekers”
The Sun’s front page says the ice-cream was cold and sweet – just how Maddie likes them!
“It seems unlikely that Europe’s most instantly recognisable child would be walked through city streets by her abductors.”
More likely she’d stop and be bought an ice cream…
“But if convincing reports of sightings continue, Scotland Yard should set up a Maddie squad capable of moving instantly anywhere in Europe.”

They sound like two women trying to sound posh - who don’t get enough sex - which leaves them terribly frustrated to the point that they come on here and start patronising people who are not as stupid as they are.
I always wonder what makes people have a pop for nothing when there are serious discrepancies that we have to sleuth about

Oh Jass! I don’t know if you read the first threads this morning from Professor Pious Pam and the other Half-Wit but Christ - it was like being back at fucking school.
I was being given lessons in morality and pig-rearing - and then they started on about knives.
I didn’t think it appropriate to throw the mutton dagger in this morning because they were both well out of their depth - but tonight I thought - fuck it! LOL!

It may, in hindsight, have been a very bad decision on the part of Team McCann not to bend the arms of the reluctant T7′ers and haul them back for the reconstruction.
As the days go by and it becomes more and more obvious that there isn’t anything left to investigate, without the reconstruction.
After all, the timeline seems to show some serious discrepancies…

This is why I support Amaral wholly. You must know what it’s like when superior officers take over. Leaving the people who are investigating in a proper pickle and a quandary.
But superiors and seniors from a foreign country sticking their beaks in must be absolutely galling for the Portuguese.
I don’t think that the investigation was badly done at all. Not at all.
It would have been extremely difficult for Amaral to take control when all the Clan were jumping about like a box of frogs and screaming and crying.
I think that the doctors played at being supercilious arrogant bastards and talked to the police like they were from Mars. I think respect went out of the window on both sides at that very point.
Poor Portuguese officers! I don’t believe for one minute that they will allow themselves to go down in history as being so slip-shod. I really don’t.

nosey - you gotta keep looking and have patience you will start to see them - it’s the perseid meteor showers they come every year the full peak was 2am yesterday morning but they are showing until aug 14th but I have to admist it’s not easy - best way is to llie on the ground if it’s not too wet.
I’m not a geeky astronomer or anything - just so you know !!!!!!!!!! pmsl

annie1 ……. I don’t know if my tablets heighten my awareness but my intuitive, streetwise and psychic side says that they know for sure - in their own hearts - that she won’t be seen on CCTV - But it would be nice to see them making an effort to at least appease people like me.
And maybe just go along with it all - just for us - just once or twice …..

Sun and DM have the story online but HOURS after it was reported in European press, I gather. Similarly Sky….hours late.
Sun probably knew but wanted to get another day out of it first. Even then they reported the WHOLE story all over again after admitting a Belgian man “claimed” (!) the girl was his daughter, including the guard saying that he’d “bet everything he owned” that it was Madeleine. Good job nobody took him up on the bet…..EDIT”
When I was on the Force, one of the things lower class women used to say was “I swear on by baby’s life…”

Absolutely coco - but I still feel very strongly that as a parent, the slightest inclination that someone had seen my missing daughter, then all logic would fly out of the window - just in case. That is, of course, unless I knew absolutely that it couldnt possibly be her, but couldnt say so.

Paedophiles and people who abduct children for other reasons are seriously underestimated by the police and the media if they think for one minute that these children are paraded about in public places after being taken

Hands up anyone who thinks that had the McCanns even THOUGHT that it could have been Madeleine - they would have been in Brussels in a heart beat? But did they go - did they hell as like!! They dont have the suspect status as an excuse now - do they? Its less than an hour, the flight to Brussels..Would you have gone?? I know I would have.
