Some may not consider $2.5M a burden on local taxpayers of a local government with cash reserves of $297M . It is good to see a government in Australia interested enough in the future of its residents and the global community to minimise the impacts potentially catastrophic climate change and invest in cleaner energy sources much the way London is doing (for which it should be commended).
