Madeleine McCann: Tourist Has New Pictures Of Tapas 7 For Sale
PAULO Reis has published an interesting piece of information on the Madeleine McCann case on his site. Read on:
“McCann case: 24 pictures that may help to re-open the case
A tourist who was (allegedly) at the Tapas Bar, on the night of May 3, took several pictures where the table with the McCanns and their friends is visible.
The tourist was with his wife and another couple and they took pictures from each other, with the McCann table on the background.
The owner of the pictures is (said to be) negotiating with several British newspapers to sell the rights for an exclusive publication, but with a condition: before being published, the pictures must be sent to the Portuguese police.
The tourist is well aware that the pictures may have important evidence related with a crime and not sending it to police is considered also a crime, in his country.
Yesterday, a well known legal office from UK (allegedly) knew about the existence of those pictures and contacted the owner, offering to buy all pictures for 600,000 Euros. But the British lawyers didn’t accept the condition set by the owner – that the pictures should be sent to the Portuguese police, just before the transaction. The lawyers’ office wanted to be free to choose the moment when the pictures would be send to Portuguese authorities, so the offer was refused by the tourist.“

Wrires Carmen:
Assuming that the above is true and genuine, it begs the question, when exactly did ‘British lawyers’ feel that they were able to dictate when information in a criminal case should be handed over to the police? Is Madeleine not a Ward of Court, are they not officers of the court? Do they not have a duty to the court - the British court - not just the Portuguese court, to instantly hand over any information that may be pertinent to solving the riddle of what happened to Madeleine.
I have mixed feelings regarding the purchase of information when it is done by newspapers, but is this a new era, that information is being purchased by lawyers, who then decide what to do with it?
Why has the tourist not come forward before?
What or whom, is, or is not, in those photographs that makes them worth 600,000 euros.
Where is the 600,000 euros coming from - the last we heard the McCann Find Madeleine fund was down to it’s last 480,000 euros. So it could not possibly be the legal firm involved with the McCann Fund…could it?
One other question would be if the tourist sold the pictures to a legal firm intent on suppression - would the gent have his collar felt?

No you certainly cannot !!!! He was already vanished from me once. I turned up at home from work one day after two years of marriage to an empty house and a note stating that I had been left for another bloke!

What did the other chap fink of you?
The other chap has yet to feel the full force of messing with me sunshine. Don’t you worry. His cards are well and truly marked and I pity the fool cos he will know what it’s like to fuck around with me.

I have 3 kids birthdays inbetween those 2 dates on the 4,5, and, 6
***********************************************************
We used to have seven birthdays and two wedding anniversaries in November and December. When I was pregnant, my mother in law pleaded with me not to have “another December baby” - so my daughter arrived at 2.40 a.m. on January 1st. She had an ‘official’ birthday in July when she was small, but loved the double celebration when she was a teenager.
Julie - boy, do I sympathise with the New Year’s Day/Birthday hangover! “Mummy, you MUST have a piece of cake”…… aargh!

I’m really sceptical about the reason for someone wanting to sell their holiday photos at this late stage.
Shortly after Madeleine went missing there were numerous pleas and requests from not only the PJ, but the British Police (and I remember seeing the request on Interpol’s site at the time as well) for ANYONE who had been in and around PDL at that time who had taken photographs to please let the police have copies for investigation.
Now bearing in mind that this was shortly after Madeleine disappeared and very few people suspected much else than she’d been abducted … why would anyone wish to withhold their photographs that could potentially have led to her being found? And more especially, someone who had been sitting in the exact same restaurant as the parents of the missing child at exactly the same time she went missing?
Something smells more than funny here ………
****
You may be right, but there may - at least at the beginning - also be a wholly innocent explanation. The request by the police for tourist photos must haven centered on photos featuring Madeleine [as there were seemingly very few taken by the family]or unidentified persons on location, which might be related to her disappearance.
The “public” did not suspect the T9, I guess, until 2 of them were made arguidos, nor will they have been aware in detail of all inconsistencies in the timelines [as we do].
Trying to sell to newspapers, yet demanding they should be given to the police first is a strange twist. They reportedly refused the 600,000 allegedly offered by the lawyer firm, though.

Matt… if you’re into plumbing walk this way. The git who was supposed to do our new bathroom in May is still AWOL. It pi*ses me off so much I haven’t bothered to find another.
The only really reliable person I have is the decorator… female. Turns up on time, doesn’t whistle and makes her own tea and mine.
So far the black hole contains the plumber, the electrician and the room in the attic man. Gone. Gone a la CSN of old. I want to live near Brandon and be able to take my pick.
