Madeleine McCann: Tourist Has New Pictures Of Tapas 7 For Sale
PAULO Reis has published an interesting piece of information on the Madeleine McCann case on his site. Read on:
“McCann case: 24 pictures that may help to re-open the case
A tourist who was (allegedly) at the Tapas Bar, on the night of May 3, took several pictures where the table with the McCanns and their friends is visible.
The tourist was with his wife and another couple and they took pictures from each other, with the McCann table on the background.
The owner of the pictures is (said to be) negotiating with several British newspapers to sell the rights for an exclusive publication, but with a condition: before being published, the pictures must be sent to the Portuguese police.
The tourist is well aware that the pictures may have important evidence related with a crime and not sending it to police is considered also a crime, in his country.
Yesterday, a well known legal office from UK (allegedly) knew about the existence of those pictures and contacted the owner, offering to buy all pictures for 600,000 Euros. But the British lawyers didn’t accept the condition set by the owner – that the pictures should be sent to the Portuguese police, just before the transaction. The lawyers’ office wanted to be free to choose the moment when the pictures would be send to Portuguese authorities, so the offer was refused by the tourist.“

Assuming that the above is true and genuine, it begs the question, when exactly did ‘British lawyers’ feel that they were able to dictate when information in a criminal case should be handed over to the police? Is Madeleine not a Ward of Court, are they not officers of the court? Do they not have a duty to the court - the British court - not just the Portuguese court, to instantly hand over any information that may be pertinent to solving the riddle of what happened to Madeleine.
I have mixed feelings regarding the purchase of information when it is done by newspapers, but is this a new era, that information is being purchased by lawyers, who then decide what to do with it?
Why has the tourist not come forward before?
What or whom, is, or is not, in those photographs that makes them worth 600,000 euros.
Where is the 600,000 euros coming from - the last we heard the McCann Find Madeleine fund was down to it’s last 480,000 euros.So it could not possibly be the legal firm involved with the McCann Fund…could it?
One other question would be if the tourist sold the pictures to a legal firm intent on suppression - would the gent have his collar felt?

I think it was pulled due to the post from paulo reis earlier about the title of this thread.
and his 24 pic scoop. ( as in it wasnt anything to do with the paradisio tea with kids tappas7 pic)

Anorak uses pics from their past favs, it was just a legal tweek in the interests of anorak and paulo reis I think IMO allegedly

I don’t know what happened to Madeleine.
But I do know that timeline for May 3rd doesn’t add up. And for people so desperate to get their child back - not sorting it out is pretty shortsighted (or smart).

karen - did you notice - the photo has gone from the top of this site? I just checked on mccanfiles and it states that David P did play in the tennis tourno - so what was he doing at just before 6pm shown on the now deleted photo, and eliminated from the tennis by 6.30 - out there checking on K? None of it fits, does it? I know that sometimes various blogs and reports get confused, but this lot does seem a bit iffy

Strange that Payne was shown on the photo above - at what willo says was 1 minute before 6pm, and at 6.40pm he was checking on K and the kids at G’s request. There really does not seem any logic in that action! If Gerry was so concerned, then why not cut short the tennis match and check on his own family?

When this news came out in october/november it struck me as an alibi or a get out clause for gerry,
but now what with gesticulation reports, bathtime hobbies etc….
If people originally bent their statements back in may to cover their lack of parenting and alcohol swinging neglecting, I could sort of understand a cover up initially, but most people would have spilled in the first week, or in August wouldnt they ?

seems altogether a bit strange to me - for G to ask D to check on Kate at 1840, when the timeline shows him to have finished playing tennis just 20 minutes later - at 7pm! Why was it so important to have K checked up on when 20 minutes later, he was heading back to the apartment anyway.. Wonder if D checked back to G at the tennis to say everything was OK? Otherwise there would be no logic in him asking D to check, if he never got to know whether it was or not - would there? At least, for the 20 mins remaining of the tennis, anyway! “Payne” for me, is the unknown quantity here

willo - then David Payne was probably not playing tennis with Gerry - so I wonder why it is stated that at 1840 G asked D P to check on Kate and the kids, when they were off to the Tapas at (reportedly)8.30 - just seems a bit strange to me - why would a grown woman (a doctor, no less!) need to be “checked” on?

Brandon - not deleted - all the info is there in the mccannfiles. Gerry asked David Payne to check on kate and the kids at - I think it said 1840hrs. and David Payne was at the bar on the above photo at 17.??hrs (according to the time and date on the photo) SO - if Gerry and David were not playing tennis together - then G would have had to find D to ask him to check on the family. I suppose David Payne could have gone to the tennis after the above photo was taken? It would have been after 5pm, if that was the case and if the times on the photos are correct.
