It seems quite incredible that - regardless of how the crime scene was treated or not - The simple task of outlining a ‘Timeline’ for actions appears so confused.
They obviously were not really trying to be co-operative - I have every sympathy for the Portugese Police - but what is more baffling is the dis-interest that the British Police seem to take in the whole affair ?
I wonder if the extra 24 pictures will ever surface ?
I also wonder how it is that we have heard so little from Robert Murat in the days since he was un-burdened of Arguido Status - If he was in at the beginning he may have some thoughts on whether stories gelled or not - And even if he was not publically able to talk about things after the event - Praia de Luz is a relatively small place - I know how hard it is to keep things under wraps in a village !!
We have heard no more about the Chaplins night either - Was that a fact or heresay that they were called back for crying children ?
It is all certainly intriguing - Quite reminds me of that old movie - ‘White Mischief’ - I do agree that if they were not of the Dr. fraternity - more of the Onslow type - the Press would have crucified them !!

I do not believe they have services of retired anyone frankly.It is just another of their whopper smokescreens to stay in headlines. They have M3 who themselves have been under police investigation for industrial espionage and other crimes. I suspect they are taking the money and laughing to bank and doing very little except write masses of fiction for CM and Co.
They should have been done for a start for “Reckless Abandonment” of their 3 x under 4 kids. The buck stops with them. Nothing they say or do will change my mind on this score

We can, however, look at what they do, as opposed to what they say.
And, on the whole, retired Special Services people tend not to be top-notch at the old boring routine of checking yet more inane sightings from yet more inane people, though, since they are getting paid for it, I’m sure they will give it their best shot…

I shall be interested to see what emerges further, but at the moment we have a group of people who all allegedly wanted to help in the search for Madeleine but who for unexplained reasons didn’t want to do anything which might actually assist in the search for Madeleine.
By this point they have to hire very aged retirees because anyone still possessing functioning synapses is going to start with this apparent blatant contradiction between what they say and what they do…
