“They have been on board for a few months and are on a six-month contract. For security reasons we can’t go into detail of the experts involved but it would not be wrong to say some are former military and police personnel with a degree of expertise.”

In lieu of evidence, good old-fashioned prejudice will do. Indeed, over the past year, two pictures showing obviously Muslim women carrying or walking with a blonde-haired girl have been splashed under the headline: ‘IS THIS MADDIE?’ Well, Arab women with a European-looking child – it’s got to be dodgy.

Program was aired over the weekend here in the States and anyone who watched it that I’ve heard talk about it are of the opinion the mccanns are pitiful and most probably responsible, in other words the mc’s were not accepted warmly.

That was an odd comment, IMO, them not being with Madeleine when ‘it’ happened; it sounds as if ‘it’, whatever it was, was going to happen anyway, whether they were there or not. If we’re talking about an abduction, it wouldn’t have happened if they had been there.

“It” could have been an accident when they weren’t there I suppose. But why all this charade if “it” wasn’t their fault? Guess there’s a possibility of people under the influence of alcohol coming up with a scheme, regretting it once they are sober by which time they’d dug too deep a hole for themselves, but no that doesn’t work, someone would have cracked by now.

It would I concede be most bizarre for nine people all to be “in on it” and keep the thing going this long, regardless of what might have happened. We were discussing the flowerbed scent and the possibility that Maddie might have been climbing out of the window for some reason, and fell out. But why would all nine want to cover that up??
