Two British tourists tried to take a small fair-haired child from a beach, thinking it was Madeleine McCann, it emerged yesterday.

Convinced it was the girl who disappeared in Portugal last year, they kept a careful eye on the pair and even took some secret photos.

When the woman’s back was turned, they grabbed the child’s arm only to find it was not Madeleine but the son of a Croatian footballer. Leone Drpic is two-and-ahalf and has long blond hair like Madeleine, but there the similarity ends. His dad Dino, 27, plays for Dinamo Zagreb and Croatia and his mum Nives is a glamour model.

Nives said yesterday: “I started getting suspicious when the British woman approached Leone and started chatting with him. Suddenly she grabbed him by the arm, apparently thinking nobody was watching him. However, when I went over she realised her mistake and apologised.”

And Madeleine McCann is connected how?
Genette’s father, John Tate, has prostate cancer and on Monday said his dying wish would be to find the body of his “little girl”. He told the Western Morning News what happened to his family is similar to the case of missing Madeleine McCann. The 66-year-old said: “I have nothing but total sympathy and empathy for the McCanns. What has happened to Maddie is very similar to what happened to ourselves.
“I hope Maddie is found alive and well and reunited with her family. I would have loved nothing more than that for myself with Genette. But, of course, her mum Sheila and myself have known for many years that Genette was murdered.”

As regards the kidnapping, maybe it is considered quaint by the readers of the Sun, but the British Police would take the matter seriously if a foreigner attempted to kidnap a British child in England.

Big tits bounce uncomfortably when you jog, muck up your golf technique, and produce unintentionally comedic results when SCUBA diving. But of course they do make you look more maternal and divert all suspicions that you might have done something nasty to your kids.
So like pretty much everything else in life, they have their ups and downs.
Trouble is, most of the “ups” come in your youth and the “downs” come… later.

I fear that you will make things worse by attempting justice for the others, even if “they deserve it”, and by publishing other people’s letters. We aren’t a jury, we aren’t here to decide who is right or wrong. We want Anorak to go on, and keep its humour.
agw always said he was terribly handsome, let me still dream about him. Let me dream about Duncan in a kilt, about June, Carmen and Meercat. To me they are friends, and I hate useless drama. So really, I’d rather not know.

We apologise for the interruption is service due to the abrupt and unannounced departure of Carmen. Duncan left on Sunday morning after ’sleeping on it’
Agw is currently away, I (June) have been at work most of the day, Artemis has guests, Meercat is asleep and Grace is new . So Paul took the unprecedented step of putting each and very post into moderation.
But this is the sequence of events that led up to all this:
‘ last week a poster was unable to access the site, she had effectively banned herself due to posting as a live user and in ‘moderation ‘ caught her.
The next time she tried to access the site error 404 presented itself.
Admin spent some considerable time ruling out it wasn’t a technical flaw, and that the poster had indeed jeopardised her own admittance.
The duty Mods that day confirmed the cause of the posters ‘dilemma’, and the poster was issued with a new name and password.
After submitting some posts in her old timbre, she then decided she’d like a fresh start, didn’t advise any of us and one of the Mods inadvertently revealed her old username. Although it was plainly clear who she was.
Admin advised the duty Mod on what to say….and then another Mod strongly protested, his views although of value to him didn’t award said poster the same privilege. After a period of 24 hours the moderator resigned, of his own accord.
During all this time the poster was still protesting that she had been treated unfairly. Admin pointed out her history of complaints , all unjustified and the view was if she continued to be difficult a ban was in order.
Admin concerned had other business to deal with, and advise all the Moderators of this expressing the wish that calmer times could prevail? He has been away fro his pc since Monday lunchtime.
Today Duncan and Carmen posted and Carmen announced her departure.
Meanwhile we all wish them well, they do not have another site to go to- and I’m afraid you lot are stuck with us - your unfavourite mods no doubt-……

Hey, I have real issues in my life to deal with, too! I know this for a fact, because I just downloaded a life and it said “Big Issues To Deal With, Abort, Retry, Fail?” I picked “fail” because that is what I am most comfortable with.
Gosh, what’s going on here? Where’s Coco the Cat? Where’s MADDIE? Or Madeleine? What’s cadaverine? How is Gandolf’s leg? How is the other one, you know the one with bells on it?

I have no idea what has gone on because I have other important issues going on in my life and little time to read posts and try and work out what has happened. I feel however that you are not content unless involved in some dispute with other posters or the mods. You appear always to be shouting about something and threatening not to post again( I wish you wouldn’t) but then you reappear, you can’t resist attacking others. It seems to be your purpose on the forum. You say you have been treated badly and unfair…aren’t you the poster who popped up everytime I posted and demanded that I post my date of birth so that you could then tell everyone I was correct( your words )….I really hope you haven’t gone too far this time and contributed to or are responsible for Duncan’s departure if he has gone. Duncan has very real issues in his life to deal with.

We would support you if we knew what it is all about. But we don’t. You only allude to something unfair which happened to you, without anyone ever telling us what is the real cause of all that big big problem- It certainly is a problem, as I can’t see how Anorak can go on without moderators. I understand you have been badly mistreated and awfully wronged. But put yourself into our place. A few details are distilled hour by hour, like a mod crying on the pavement, without us knowing what it is all about and how it started.
Either someone explains what happened exactly, who did what, and why, or, if it can’t be said publicly, don’t keep alluding to it,as if Anorak belonged to those who are in the know, and never mind about the others, they don’t need to understand what you are talking about. Apparently some people have been bad to you, we don’t know who, some have been good to you, we don’t know who either, and we are left with suspecting everybody.
Anorak mustn’t lose its deserved reputation The people who have worked for it for years have done a great job, and as you say, they work enormously, and are unpaid. Maybe toomuch work and pressure can explain some unfortunate reactions.
Can we posters improve matters in anyway, or do we have to see them getting worse and worse without understanding anything about it?
