Two British tourists tried to take a small fair-haired child from a beach, thinking it was Madeleine McCann, it emerged yesterday.
Protecting the little kiddies from nutters and oddballs…
Convinced it was the girl who disappeared in Portugal last year, they kept a careful eye on the pair and even took some secret photos.

When the woman’s back was turned, they grabbed the child’s arm only to find it was not Madeleine but the son of a Croatian footballer. Leone Drpic is two-and-ahalf and has long blond hair like Madeleine, but there the similarity ends. His dad Dino, 27, plays for Dinamo Zagreb and Croatia and his mum Nives is a glamour model.

Nives said yesterday: “I started getting suspicious when the British woman approached Leone and started chatting with him. Suddenly she grabbed him by the arm, apparently thinking nobody was watching him. However, when I went over she realised her mistake and apologised.”
Grab a kid – any kid – and if caught says “oops! Thought it was our Maddy”.

And Madeleine McCann is connected how?
Genette’s father, John Tate, has prostate cancer and on Monday said his dying wish would be to find the body of his “little girl”. He told the Western Morning News what happened to his family is similar to the case of missing Madeleine McCann. The 66-year-old said: “I have nothing but total sympathy and empathy for the McCanns. What has happened to Maddie is very similar to what happened to ourselves.
“I hope Maddie is found alive and well and reunited with her family. I would have loved nothing more than that for myself with Genette. But, of course, her mum Sheila and myself have known for many years that Genette was murdered.”

Duncan gets my vote everytime, and todays events have been very sad imo.
I don’t know exactly whats gone on behind the scenes, but I have read over the last few days how upset one can be because of comments on anorak. (which I do happen to agree with), but the same poster still feels free to dish it out elsewhere, as usual.
I would be more tolerant if post such as this were not written…..

Dentist took out the remaining bits of tooth / bone that had ben causing the pain today - seems to be much more comfortable at the moment, but am still fighting off those dastardly bacteria with the help of the most disgusting pills in the world

One of the very worst aspects of the way this case has been played in the British media is that the notion of dark skinned people wanting to kidnap fair skinned people is not only racist but completely untrue.
The traffic is in the opposite direction.
The 103 children kidnapped in Chad by a French NGO last year is an example of what happens in the real world…

What actually happened is that in early May 2007 a little girl went missing from an apartment in PdL, Portugal, whilst her parents were out, with several friends.
Drinking.
With a very “loose” childminding rota in place.
The apartment was unlit, unlocked, un over- looked,.
the little girl was with her sister and brother who are twins.
her parents are doctors.
she has never been seen since………….

At some point someone will write a treatise on the relationship between appearance and the likelihood of being banged up. Apart, that is, for the well known offence of driving an expensive car whilst black.
But it is arguable that Teflon Tony’s spin doctors fell upon the McCanns with great glee as an escape route from the Lord Browne scandal precisely because they were so eminently spinnable…

I saw a child who looked just like OUR MADDIE the other day. It was a lovely little grrl, wearing pink (like MADDIE!) and eating ice cream (chocolate, like MADDIE!) and prancing about like a PRINCESS (like Princess Madeleine) … so obviously it was her. Or maybe it might have been a boy with longish hair, but who’s counting?
Except my MADDIE was a bit swarthy… it was clearly a clever trick pulled by the nasty black people who took her. The woman that was with her was blonde, thus showing the lengths to which these swarthy villains will go.
I mean, who would suspect a frightened, swarthy child with a gang of blondes? This is true evil!
Is no one safe from these foreigners?

Some part of what was reported simply DID NOT HAPPEN.
It is an invention, a mistake, an illusion, an error, innocent or otherwise. It DID not and CANNOT have happened in that way.

Haven’t got a clue what went down between Secret/Fair(a person lost in their self impoortance) and AGW and I don’t care. But I’m with AGW. I don’t like Secrets threatening tone and veiled suggestions of a wrong doing. So you had a spat that’s realy upset you. Ruined your life to the point of you annoying other posters with your unconfirmed drivel. It’s fucking huge alright. Bigger news than a little girl going missing. I suggest that you grow up and get your councellor to consentrate on building up your moral fortitude and self respect. Lets talk about things that matter like does
cool and calm weigh more than Aunty Phil? Is Marie really as stupid as she comes across? Are Garth and Gandolf active homosexuals? Is Daisy really from Peru? Does Chenier wear hold ups or sossies hmmm? Is willo the most handsome of the posters? Does Brandon Flours have pretty feet?
So I’m AGW all the way and I’m having AGW car stickers printed and a free AGW t-shirt competion will be held. There will be a candle lit vigil for Duncan followed by gospel singing and break dancing competition. We are struggling for a location but are hoping that Secret may swallow her pride and offer her mouth as a venue. After the show there will be a release of a lone pigeon as a mark of repect to those posters who can have a laugh take a bit of shit and not turn into raving lunatics.
Vote AGW, it’s an open vote. Secret votes do not count! That wouldn’t be fair, would it.
I might be able to get a case load of AGW wrist bands for those who wish to show support. Going cheap.
