Two British tourists tried to take a small fair-haired child from a beach, thinking it was Madeleine McCann, it emerged yesterday.

Convinced it was the girl who disappeared in Portugal last year, they kept a careful eye on the pair and even took some secret photos.

When the woman’s back was turned, they grabbed the child’s arm only to find it was not Madeleine but the son of a Croatian footballer. Leone Drpic is two-and-ahalf and has long blond hair like Madeleine, but there the similarity ends. His dad Dino, 27, plays for Dinamo Zagreb and Croatia and his mum Nives is a glamour model.

Nives said yesterday: “I started getting suspicious when the British woman approached Leone and started chatting with him. Suddenly she grabbed him by the arm, apparently thinking nobody was watching him. However, when I went over she realised her mistake and apologised.”

Genette’s father, John Tate, has prostate cancer and on Monday said his dying wish would be to find the body of his “little girl”. He told the Western Morning News what happened to his family is similar to the case of missing Madeleine McCann. The 66-year-old said: “I have nothing but total sympathy and empathy for the McCanns. What has happened to Maddie is very similar to what happened to ourselves.
“I hope Maddie is found alive and well and reunited with her family. I would have loved nothing more than that for myself with Genette. But, of course, her mum Sheila and myself have known for many years that Genette was murdered.”

Seeing as the amounts of fluid in the car were miniscule now, it may have been towels or sheets were kept in the boot and not the body.
The cadaver whiffs in the apartment are more important !

But then the dogs still apparently picked up cadaver in the car. And Amaral believed they used the car to transport her body. So I don’t think you can rely on the evidence in the apartment and then totally disregard the evidence in the car!

2. That Kate was angry, howling and hitting & kicking around, which doesn’t fit with the first stages of grief, frustration and anger classically coming at a later stage …

Questioned if the twins didn’t wake up, at all, she said they didn’t and Kate kept going into the twins, kept putting her hands on the twins to check they were breathing, as she seemed very much concerned in checking they were okay.

But never asked for a drugs a test until months later!
I would have shook those children awake - and knowing that they may not have a clue - I would beg them to tell me where M was!
That is the first thing that I would have done!
The next thing would have been to tear the place apart - screaming at the top of my voice! I would have run over to the window that had a drop of 13 feet and and forced the window up to see if she had crawled out. I would have checked the steps at the back and then I would go to my friends apartments to see if she had gone there - purely for the familiarity of it!
These people are not for real!
I would have been screaming around the bin areas and the sea - I would have all the neighbours out in their back gardens searching their sheds and garages!

Not ignoring your post but what amazes me with the conspiracy theorists is that they are incapable of giving an honest answer as to how the McCanns carried out ‘hiding’ of the body for some 25 days after a supposed serious ‘accident’ and then transferred her body in a hire car. Of course, all under the watchful eye of the PJ.
And then to wonder off to the tapas bar as if nothing had happened?
I think until we have a reasonable explanation of how this act was carried out the rest is pointless.

At the time, Russell O’Brien handed over two lists handwritten on the inside cover of a children’s book, a sticker activity book for children more than 3 years of age. We believe the book was Madeleine’s and we do not understand why they tore off the cover of the child’s book. A child had just gone missing and all its belongings should be precious to those who loved her. Was there really no other paper around? Not even a simple napkin? The question hangs in the air and the response is yet another contradiction. The lists contained the possible record of the checks in the apartment.

a) known the child would never be seen again

b) the PJ were such an incompetent bunch.

Regarding Kate checking whether twins are still breathing - we’ve been on the subject some days ago, after Reiss/Levy published on August 9:
“On the night of May 3, Kate McCann was just panicking, frightened for Madeleine and wondering what happened to her, according to a statement from Fiona Payne. She described to police what she saw, when she returned to the McCann apartment, after searching the area around Ocean Club, with other members of the group of friends, for five to ten minutes, following the alert that Madeleine was missing.
She went inside the children’s room, noticed Madeleine’s bed had the sheets quite kind of neatly, and the twins were fast asleep in their cots. While she opened the cupboards in the room, they remained asleep and didn’t stir at all - something she thought was odd.
Kate McCann was frightened and the sensation of not being able to do anything made her angry, howling and punching and kicking walls – the reason why she was covered in bruises the next day, according to the statement of Fiona Payne.

And how could printed 10×15 poster type photo(?s) of MM be produced and

This has bugged me for days. It bugged me at the time they handed them over though. My parents wouldn’t have been able to stand up - never mind rush about getting photos together ….
And there were The Clan - standing up doing a Press call - bold as brass when they should have been walking in the local wilderness screaming her name in the hope that she could hear familiar voices - but no - They are telling the fucking World that M has been abducted.

My friend has to put together strategies for putting fires out on oil rigs and pipe-lines - and he went to pieces last week when his cat disappeared!
