Madeleine McCann: A New eFit, Selling Books And A Rapist’s Cover Story
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann
DAILY MIRROR: “Madeleine McCann: Nanny’s new sketch echoes picture of kidnapper”
That’s the picture on the left. For wont of name, we’ll call him Cool.
This is the shadowy figure seen lurking in the bushes outside the flat from where Madeleine McCann vanished. And the woman who confronted the straggly-haired stranger eight months before is convinced he is the same man family friend Jane Tanner spotted carrying a child in pyjamas the night Maddy disappeared.
The man Jane Tanner says she saw is also on the left, for comparison purposes. They could be twins.
Despite telling police, British nanny Margaret Hall was not asked to help with an artist’s impression. Now, thanks to the Daily Mirror, a sketch of his face can be seen for the first time.
The Daily Mirror is on the case. It’s track record is im-pecc-able.
Margaret Hall added: “My description of the man is very similar to that of Jane Tanner’s. He had long hair but it was quite scruffy and straggly looking. He had said ‘no’ in English but he was not English because of his skin colouring. He looked more Portuguese than anything.”
DORSET ECHO: “Rapist gets 13 year sentence”
A FORMER Burger King manager has been sentenced to 13 years in prison after being found guilty of raping a girl and 16 counts of sexual assault over a period of seven years. Ehmad Alguet, 44, of Esmonde Way in Canford Heath, Poole, was found guilty by a majority verdict of 10 to two on each of the 17 counts by the jury at Bournemouth Crown Court yesterday.
And:
He also told the court he had looked at illegal porn sites because he was trying to trace missing toddler Madeleine McCann.
THE GUARDIAN: “Edinburgh festival: When comedians attack - What is the most jaw-dropping example of audience harassment by a comic that you’ve come across?”
Capurro’s show this year is basically a big can of carbonated outrage, shaken vigorously and hurled into the crowd, with jokes about Madeleine McCann, paedophilia and Islam all present and correct.
The Guardian loves Capurro, the try-very-hard comic.
BBC: “Born Yesterday writer at festival”
An author who wrote last summer’s news as a novel and another who went in search of a sporting superstar will appear at the Inverness Book Festival. Gordon Burn covered the Blair-Brown prime ministerial handover, Glasgow Airport attack and the search for Madeline McCann in Born Yesterday.
Madeleine McCann: That’s entertainment…

DAISY! An astute shrewd woman like yourself must have spotted my Scorpionicness! lol! It’s the fact that I have Mercury in Gemini that makes me a tad mad and schizy-cocky though! lol
Apologies to any Geminis - but …………….
***********************
I have Mercury in Aquarius, and Uranus in Gemini. This is called ‘mutual reception’ Hey hey! Uranus in Gemini does ask questions about certain pervy sex acts. But let’s move on…………..
into mutual reception? Doesn’t bear thinking about…..

Totje-Oh dear we are all glum here tonight. Hmmmm-know what you mean though -we are no further forward. We must keep considering alternatives-they must be limited-and there have been some good theories sprung forth. be positive.

whoops
What’s the use of refocussing? Will it bring her back? Will we be able to succeed where real experienced investigators failed? Or journalists who’ve been at PdL and talked to loads of people? Us without access to the many many pages of reports/interrogations etc. ? Us who’s fed with snippets of what’s in the files? Carefully picked [may be even not carefully]. Biases stories by both UK and Portuguese papers? People who’ve got an ‘agenda’?
Sometimes [or even often] to me it sounds more like we’re gossipping about someone elses loss/grief. Because whether or not someone she knew is involved, there’s people who grieve, who miss her dearly.

Totje-and if we were all in a room together-there’d be none of this sniping. We’d probably have a laugh. It’s easy to be rude to people you don’t have to face-cowardly in fact….IMO.
And to be honest not in the soirit of Madeleine. Who is still missing. We should refocus.

Strange though how people who pretend to care about a little girl that’s vanished [and most probably died], who accuse people they’ve never met nor spoken to of lying, weird behaviour etc. are able to ignore the pain of “real” people. Because unless someone has connected an ‘intelligent talking computer’ to Anorak, we’re all real people. Though some are pretenders….

Why Gandolf calls you Dave is beyond me, but I can guarantee he is not ‘Dave’ either
——
Don’t you mean The Gandolf’s?
Many moons ago, one of the Gandolf’s slipped up, whilst talking to a user called dave, and exposed himself by using them both out of sync. He had a hissy fit at the time and other people on line saw it as well and had a laugh at their expense.
Sorry to post out of turn M&A

Saul I do remember that incident, but that particular G is not this particular G

I think I’m signing off for today.
There’s this other life, where not everyone is accusing everyone of everything…
Hope to be back when Anorak is back to what it used to be

Dave me old yarn spinner, accuracy in all things I a good habit to acquire, unfortunately that appears to have passed you and your fellow windylickers by, on the sunny side of the street.
—–
“I a good habit” …..now that’s accurate.
With regard to the Dave user name, maybe you should e-mail the Mods and ask them if anyone apart from you has used that name before. I can assure you I haven’t.

Handy hint N0 4.
If you throw a few questions about trains to the Gandolfs, it appeals to their Trainspotting genes. Keeps them amused for ages.
Ages being relative, according to their attention spans that is.
