Bush And Blair’s Legacy: Zero: An Investigation Into 9/11

by | 22nd, August 2008

THE 9/11 Truthers are out there. They know. How do they know? They just know. It was – some closer – the Jews.

Peter Bradshaw is reviewing a film for the Guardian: It’s called: Zero: An Investigation Into 9/11

If Mr Bush and Mr Blair are still musing over their “legacy”, well, here it is – the 9/11 “truth” movement, of which this film, from Italian directors Franco Farcassi and Francesco Trento, is the latest example.

It represents a sizeable body of opinion, holding that everything that we were told about that awful day, every syllable, every dot, every comma, every jot, every tittle, was a great big lie.

Here’s the best bit:

Our rulers brought this fatuous exercise in silly conspiracy theorism on themselves and us, having foisted the definite untruth of WMD on the world. After all, why should we believe anything proclaimed by the governments of Washington and London which endorsed that mendacity?

So one falsehood brings about an utter lie? And that is Bush and Blair’s legacy?

What other lies are we being told, then: the Holocaust (always a good one for Truthers, working under the sub-term Neo-Nazis)? The moon landings?

The good thing about conspiracy theories is that all of them remain just that: theories…
